Ordered Golden Deli online in advance and the com tam with 3 proteins was prepared at my expected time and was delicious. I was barely able to finish it all in one sitting. The fish oil sauce made the meal that much better. Their pho is also very savory and slow cooked.
Had a rough time in the back parking lot though because I went the wrong way and it’s a one-way only directional vector that you can take.
I had been to this location before but never saw the arrows in the cramped parking space in the back… until it was too late… had no success or time to make a 3-point turn.

And I’d love to keep ranting about the parking but overall Golden Deli provides very tasty and hearty portions of Vietnamese style cuisine and is a local favorite for many restaurant goers. Golden Deli survived Covid and continues to shine on in the world of food.

Had lunch around 11:30am on Thursday at the Temple City location. We lucked out and got the last two parking space out back. The place had plenty of available seating. We each ordered dry rice vermicelli (bun); perfectly seasoned. I had mine with just the beef - very tender and flavorful. My friend had her with fish cake or shrimp cake? I had Thai ice tea, she had some other tea. Very clean - didn't use the restroom. Service was fast and enjoyed the ambience for easy conversation. Never got interrupted once the food was served. Good portion size - no left over from either one of us. I guess for now a days $48+ bill with tip is about right for meal for two with drinks.

One of our all time favorite places in the SGV and we’ll just in general for Vietnamese food. Everything is delicious from the smoothies (durian is our fave) and coffee to the bahn mi, pho and vermicelli. Another favorite not pictured is the chicken curry with baguette 🥖

Operation hours are HORRIBLE. Why are you guys closed on a Saturday and only operating take out? Not just that, the hours are so random and NEVER CONSISTENT. Sometimes yall close for two weeks . I don’t understand it’s ridiculous. It shouldn’t be like this

The pho was the star of the show — absolutely delicious. I finished the broth down to the last drop. It honestly didn’t need anything added, but I still threw in a little spicy sauce and lemon just because I love that combo. If anything, I probably messed up their perfect recipe by adding to it.

Service was straightforward and professional. Not super energetic or hyped, but they listened, got everything right, and treated us well.

The atmosphere was calm and mellow — not noisy at all. Everyone kept to themselves, and it felt relaxed and comfortable. Overall, great food in a chill environment. I’d definitely come back

Get the egg rolls. They are different than I’ve had on the east coast but a real dinner. Durian milkshake was terrific (not for everyone but worth it if you are an exploratory eater) and I go the bun, which is essentially cold noodles, with lots of veggies and whatever meat or tofu you want. This is one of those places that looks like it’ll be meh but is cheap and delicious and quick and you don’t think that’s possible but it is.

Solove

Pho broth had no flavor. It was very watery. I used a lot of sriracha, hoisin sauce and lime to give it some flavor. I did get a fair amount to meat, though. It still didn't make for a good bowl of pho. Very disappointing for a $16 meal.

I like the food here. The broth is rich in flavour and there are many sauces that you can use for your food. 🍕🥚🍲 Its so good here! You should come here too. The best thing about this is the way the food tastes in your bowl so that the water is absorbed into your stomach. 10/10 if I could give you a rating of 10/10. Grams for how many grams of yummy!
