We had dinner 3 times at this place and it was excellent. Now when we went last week with a reservation the hostess put us right in front of the serving station. We told her we would like a different spot since there were so many empty tables. Next she put us next to the door entrance. Such poor service. So many empty tables. We just walked out and left. If I was running a business like that the hostess would be fired. I will never step foot in that place again, thanks to the hostess

Ian and his family should be quite proud of this place. We are visiting friends from Arizona and they said McPhee's was the place to go for our dinner out together.
We had such a great time. The atmosphere was so nice (lightimg, decor, etc). Noise level was great. Our server Stephanie did a fantastic job. The food was amazing. Everyone walked away happy.

We don't love in area. We went when we stayed in Paso Robles 3 years ago. It was so good, now that we were visiting Morro Bay we went into Paso Robles for they day and made a point of eating here again.

Just went to McPhees new to area, I will not be returning. Service was just OK, food was over priced. DON'T order the aged Rib eye very thin and flavorless. I can buy a better steak at Costco. Very disappointed for the price. The only highlight to the dinner was the dessert.

I did my research. I knew what I was going to have for dinner before I walked through the doors. I arrived just after they opened at 5:00 PM on Thursday evening. I asked for a seat at the bar and was escorted to it. I could tell right away that this team of people were more than co-workers, they were a crew that have worked together for a long time, some more than others. But they were more like family. The lady at the bar (I did not get her name) told me about a couple of specials for the day, but I ordered the Pork Chop. They slice it off a larger piece, then grill it to perfection. It was served with sweet potato fries and a vegetable medley. I had a glass of Tablas Creek Grenache to go with the meal. It was exactly what I had hoped that it would be. Just Delicious! After I had finished dinner, I was asked if I would like to see the dessert menu. I was told that they make their own Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce! I was tempted, but I declined and said that I would try it on my next visit. I paid the check and proceeded to the front door. On my way out, I ran into Max and another staff member. He asked me if I had tried the Key Lime Pie. I told him that I did not. He said, "Wait here one second". He went and got a piece of Key Lime Pie and made it To-Go with utensils, since I was staying in a hotel. On the House, he said. What a great gesture from a really friendly person. I can't say enough good things about McPhee's Grill in Templeton, CA! I will surely be back whenever I am in the area. Thank you for a wonderful experience and fabulous food.

Absolutely outstanding! McPhee’s Grill is hands-down one of the best dining experiences in Templeton. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and upscale comfort.
The food? Incredible. We started with a few appetizers that were perfectly executed—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The steaks were next level —juicy, expertly cooked, and full of rich, smoky flavor. You can tell they source quality cuts and know exactly how to treat them.
Their wood-fired pizza was also a huge hit at our table—crispy crust, delicious sauce, and premium toppings. It’s not often you find a place that does both steaks and pizza this well!
Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and on point. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do.
If you're anywhere near Templeton, McPhee’s Grill is a must-visit. We’re already planning our next visit. Five stars all the way!
