Loved this place. Our host John gave a fun tasting sharing the winery's history. Had a great talking, then wandering the vineyard. Do stop by for a tasting, I highly recommend it.
Old school, red-only, dry-farmed wines. John the vintner/proprietor is fun, opinionated, and classically European in his approach. Fantastic wines with an entertaining host…no corporate gloss here, just delectable reds and an octogenarian who loves what he does and knows what he believes!
John was an amazing host with lots of stories and he makes great wine! We relaxed with John as he told us about his family and the history of Rocky Creek. We bought a case of wine and will be sure to be back.
John was such a welcoming host! We stayed overnight with our camper and enjoyed a wine tasting and purchased some fabulous wine. Thank you John
Wines are excellent and you will get a new found appreciation for wine when talking with the owner
No advertising just amazing hand crafted and long aged red wines that are dry farmed and harvested several weeks after all the irrigated sugar grapes are pulled. Highway 46 is Paso Robles a world-class hidden gem. ?
Very knowledgeable creator of wineBought 3 bottles
coming back for sulfite free delicious pinot @ Rocky creek cellars!!
By chance my wife and I stopped by. It was a quiet day and we had the glorious pleasure to meet and speak with John for almost two-hours! Learning much of his methods and philosophies of developing wonderful wines. Of course we thoroughly enjoyed the most beautiful flavors we have ever experienced. In as much as we loved tasting and purchasing , we enjoyed the blessing to meet and fellowship with John.Thank You John for a Wonderful Day Sir!
Spent the weekend visiting wineries in the Paso Robles area and the biggest mistake we made was visiting Rocky Creek Cellars. It was our first stop and set the bar for wine and experience for all others that we would visit to fail against. John, the owner, has a beautiful tasting room and was incredibly engaging. He's got a lifetime of stories and photos that he will gladly tell you all while pouring the best wines we tasted out of the 6 wineries we visited over two days. We will return for the fellowship and wines on our next visit for certain.

My husband and I stopped by and we were the only ones in tasting room with John the owner. Enjoyed great red wine and wonderful stories John told us along with learning about the process of wine making which we loved learning about so informative. Best red wine and we became members! A gem of a winery I recommend stopping by and tasting the wonderful wines and a chat with John!
