My three girlfriends and I go to Paso every year for our annual trip. We try new wineries each year. This year we focused on wineries offering Pinot Noir. We went to 6 and Jack Creek was our favorite by far. Shelly and John, the owners, could not have been more welcoming and we had an exceptional tasting. Wine tasting with the vintner John was a service and tour de force of knowledge, insight, and stories about wine making, microclimates, and agriculture. Taste after taste progressed in excellence finishing with the "Straight and Narrow," a wonderfully flavorful Grenache, but not your typical Grenache. Ask John about it! We talked and talked in the well appointed tasting room with such excellent views of the vineyards.
