We were out riding in Ocotillo Wells. On our way home we decided to eat and looked for a local place, which are few and far between. We were pleasantly surprised with Rancho86. We had some food allergies and asked for some changes. The owner was extremely gracious, made whatever changes we wanted and had a wonderful attitude. The food was great! (Chicken Fajita burritos, chicken quesadillas). If youre in the area make the effort to stop by and support this local business.

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon and had one of the best cheeseburgers of my life—no exaggeration. Juicy, flavorful, cooked just right. The vibe was chill, grabbed a drink and played some pool. Only thing missing was a bit of chalk for the cue, but honestly, that’s a minor detail compared to how great the place was overall. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-try. Solid food, good energy. I’ll definitely be back.

Great Salton Sea food. One man operation from what I can tell. Room capable of having larger parties. Mexican food was delicious. Date shake was pretty good.

coming from Yucaipa, and stopped to get a bite to eat. Owner is super sweet and very kind, food is amazing. there is not a lot of real food in the area, so for this place being here and affordable. It’s the best of both worlds. Will definitely come back!

We were off-roading for Tierra Del Sol and needed real food. Not many options in Salton but luckily we turned off the highway to find Rancho 86z. We had a wonderful experience here. The steak was great and it was a great vibe with Mexican soccer on TV. Very kid friendly.

Be careful with what you eat in this place, I bought pizza and they sold it to me raw, I ordered vegetables and they taste horrible like freezer food, this is not "Authentic Mexican" food as they say, be careful
