Excellent food and service. All the ingredients are fresh and yummy! My husband and I have ordered food from this location during several times during the pandemic and were consistently pleased.

One of my very favorite places to grab a bite. The owners are the most fabulous people and know how to run a business. I have eaten there over a dozen times now & my experiences with them just continue to get better. I recommend them

Decent! Have had worse in So Cal, but definitely have had better! My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich with Mac & cheese and I got the brisket with fries, then we shared corn bread! The best item we ate were the fries with the corn bread in second! All the textures were nice especially the buns, but there was a lack of flavor! Not enough seasoning or smoke on the meats! BBQ sauce was balanced but mediocre! The worst was the Mac & cheese, tasted like Velveeta!!

Did pick-up due to COVID. Brought home and all I have to say is WOW!!! It was fantastic. Hubs had pulled pork sandwich and I had tri tip sandwich. The buns are super soft and delicious. The meat was perfectly tender. The fries are great. Would have been better if I was able to eat on premise. So they got a bit cold. But the sweet corn side was amazing!! I will be back for sure. I want to try other items as well.

Happy to share that the brisket sandwiches are amazing. Tasty meat, generous portions and pretty great sides. We visited again and had the salad. Yummy!

I had a couple people tell me about this place so it was time for me to try it first hand. It's a very basic place nothing special and all of their items are a la cart. So I had to order their two most popular items and give it a go. The first thing I tried was the short rib sandwich which was very juicy and cooked to perfection. They use a nice sauce that's got a lot of flavor but not too overpowering. The melted blue cheese and garlic aioli sauce was a very nice touch and pairs well with the brioche bun. I go a side of sweet potato fries well done to go with it. Very nice pieces of fries and cooked to perfection. The next sandwich I tried which is said to be there best was the brisket sandwich. If brisket is done correctly it should basically melt in your mouth with all the flavor that goes with it. This sandwich was packed full of flavor and didn't need anything else but the bun. I got a side of the smoke sweet corn to go along with it. All in all this place definitely gets 5 stars and I will definitely be back soon when I am in the mood for some good bbq!

OMG. The best brisket in the whole thousand Oaks area. I Finally got the chance to try this place and i have to say This bbq sandwich place is THE VERY BEST. I've traveled texas countless times and my favorite meat is the brisket and the whole BBQ experience. Who doesn't love bbq right?? And these guys at this place are at that level of perfection. And to get a brisket that good around this area, is almost impossible, other shops have it too but not as good as this one. For now. Lets get to the food! We order 2 of the brisket sandwiches And for starters the meat its cooked to perfection, you can definitely taste that 12+ hrs cooking process. Meat was not dry at all and well moisted, right amount of smokiness and the right tenderness. We added cole slaw to it and definitely that balances and mix the flavors really good. The bun is the cherry on top. Having all these deliciousness seating on that brioch bun was the best move! The sides??? We ordered the cole slaw and mac n cheese. Even though we ordered the cole slaw with the sandwich, I love cole slaw so much that i need to have a extra side of it. The cole slaw tasted refreshing and freshly made, right amount of mayonnaise, juices and crunch . All flavors came together really tasteful and no aftertaste. -The golden start goes to the MAC & Cheese-. Wooooow just wow! The mac and cheese is from out this world. It was so tasteful and with a really good consistency. Not too liquidy not too thick. The melted cheese mixed to a perfect balance with the Macaroni, the macaroni was cooked 'al dente'. And last but not least. I didn't forget about this, I always leave the best for last. Their bbq sauce got my full attention because having tried many sauces before, this sauce was spectacular, and a piece of art. Most sauces are overly sweet or not the right amount of spicy. For a moment prior to taste it, I thought to myself,it might not be that spicy and oh boy, i was wrong(lol). I love spicy food so the sauce sealed the deal. To finish this review, i think the owners were the ones that took our order and they went above and beyond to make sure our first visit was memorable. Service score 100% I will be returning to 101 BBQ HUT soon, hungry for more.........

Well after a long hike at paradise falls my family and I needed meat! We came here and was greeted with open arms! Very welcoming I assume owner! Food was good and kids were happy. I would come back again. Restrooms were closed which I assume was due to COVID would have liked to wash up before our meal that was consumed outside at a table that was my only suggestion on this visit.

Such an awesome place to eat at. Staff are very very friendly, and they have quite the selection of meats. I often pick up a few sandwiches and eat them the following day, they hold up great in the fridge. I love the prime rib which comes with dipping sauce. I also had the Tri Tip and brisket, can't go wrong with either. Their salmon was huge portion of fish and juicy. Their chicken was also tasty. They also have wraps. I had their salads, very filing and fresh. They have variety of bbq sauces that are mild to very spicy.Fyi you can buy their sauce to go,too. I had their Mac and cheese as a side dish, which was not bland. I haven't had other sides yet, but will look into it. I recommend this place totally! Pre covid they had sitting arrangements inside. They are very clean and I feel safe eating from them.

Holy BBQ this place was yumtastic! Stopped in for a brisket sandwich with coleslaw added to it and some fries and my oh my it didn't disappoint! The meat was cooked perfect and packed full of flavor, the bread was crazy good, slaw very nice and all the flavors worked well together. Some pretty darn good fries too, I would highly recommend trying this place out, I can't wait to try out other menu items.

This spot has amazing service ! There was a misunderstanding with delivery vs takeout and they handled it extremely well. Vanessa really helped us out and made sure we were completely taken care of ! We ordered a shredded chicken sandwich with cornbread and beans. Although the chicken could have been tastier, the sauce evened it out and the portions were perfect ! The beans were also super flavorful. We can't wait to come back and try the brisket.

We tried this place for the first time today and I can't recommend it enough, I hadn't managed to find a good BBQ place in the area, my search is over! I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the pulled chicken, both were amazing. The Mac and cheese, coleslaw and fries were all great side! I will definitely be going back, the customer service was friendly, warm and inviting! Can't wait to try other items on the menu!

This place is bomb! I even called them to say thank you! My partner and I came in and ordered the brisket sandwich, tri-tip sandwich, mac and cheese, fries, baked beans, cornbread, and bread pudding. We ate everything except the bread pudding--we're saving it for later when we can wolf it down like the rest of our meal. We are only here for the holidays, but we hope to come back and wish there was a location closer to us! I'm already thinking about my next order. I'm gonna get the cole slaw on the side instead of on the sandwich. I wonder if they do a brisket / tri - tip combo, or I'm gonna mix and match the sandwich up myself. The brisket is on the moister side and the chew gives away more easily and the tri tip has more of a chew -- I don't think I'm describing it well but I like the give and taste of both at once.
