101 BBQ Hut (now @ Tavern 101 Grill & Tap House)

Just walked into the location. First time at this one as we're used to the old on in westlake and it's after the opening hour (according to google) and no one came out to acknowledge we're were there. There was a person in the kitchen who looked out the grill window saw us standing there and didn't acknowledge us at all just walked in the back and hid. I saw him peak out more than once and never say anything even after I asked him if they were open. Stood there for a few Mins and walked out. Completely disappointed loved the old location. Not worth the trip as I traveled here.

This was terrible. Spent $100 for two pulled pork sandwiches, one side of fries and the brisket (which came with 2 sides). The photo doesn’t depict the level of gray tint the brisket had. My husband, reluctantly, took a bite and it was just as bad as it looked. The sides (beans and mashed potatoes), were not good. The pulled pork sandwiches were not good. The meat tasted old and my bun was soggy and looked either dirty or molding. In fact, everything tasted old. There’s no way the fries were cooked within the last several hours. We paid $100 and none of us could eat the food. Disappointing to say the least!

I was very pleased with my experience at 101 BBQ Hut. The staff were friendly and quick, making me feel welcomed right away. Inside, the temperature was very comfortable not too cold or hot. The decorations added a great character to the place. Now, onto the most important part: the food. I ordered a full rack of ribs without BBQ sauce. The ribs had a nice balance of meat and fat, though I would’ve preferred a bit more fat. The seasonings were delicious, and they offered a variety of BBQ sauces: mild, spicy, turbo (my favorite), and atomic (the spiciest). Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend 101 BBQ Hut!

I guess that everyone is coming for the sandwich… i tool the rib plate and it was less than ok… portion size small, kind of expensive for what you get. But the corn bread was good 👍🏻 the service was excellent!

My trip tip was dry and weak flavor. My sister had the ribs and they looked wonderful!! Service was great! The servers were young but very mature! They checked on us and were very helpful! This is my second time there. Will get ribs from now on.

Had the macaroni and cheese and the New York prime rib sandwich absolutely delicious barbecue sauce is delicious everything was really good including the OSU that came with it the service was great the two young gentlemen that were working the counter or extremely friendly and this the minute we walked in the door definitely recommending this to other people and hope they get the same experience really good food and if you want a real treat try the pork belly BLTA yummy.

What a great Tri tip sandwich! Pulled into the parking lot and was going to go to In/Out but then saw the BBQ Hut restaurant next door and decided to try it. So glad we did. It was amazing!!! I give it an A++

Food and service is awesome here!! The bbq sandwiches (such as their bbq pulled pork and chicken), plates and sides (fries, potato salad and sweet potato fries, etc) are the best. All are tasty and desserts too. They have homemade bread pudding which is sooo soo good and don't forget the chocolate lava cake. They always add extra sauce (chocolate for the lava cake and vanilla sauce for the bread pudding) with strawberries too! The service is here is exceptional. The place have really nice booth seatings with three different bbq sauces for you to use on each table and its always very clean. This is my go-to place for bbq and desserts.

Been wanting to try this place for a while. The Tritip sandwich with coleslaw in it was great (not overdone or underdone, just right). Mac and cheese was darn good too. Really friendly staff and the atmosphere is relaxing. We’ll be back so we can try the pulled pork sandwich.
