Sad to hear they closed due to "unfortunate circumstances". Absolutely loved their food. This wonderful little place and the delicious food will be missed as well as the staff. Best wishes to them

Armando's is a hidden gem that has the best crunch tacos and birria tacos that I've had in the Thousand Oaks area! My only complaint is that they close at 8:30, but otherwise they're fantastic!

Just had a great experience having lunch here. Tried a burrito which was delicious and rather large. Even more impressive to me was how good the service and spotless clean the restaurant were.

Within the genre of an order-at-the-counter Mexican eatery, I'd say this place is first rate. I think it's primarily a place to go for lunch or an early dinner. This isn't "fine dining", but it isn't trying to be. I ordered the enchilada combination with two chicken and two beef enchiladas. I got red sauce on the beef and green on the chicken. They both were excellent, with proper seasoning on both the fillings and sauce. The green had a distinct tomatillo-nopal flavor, while red chili pepper enhanced the red without making it too spicy. The rice was flavored with a good balance of stock and the trinity, while the beans were just slightly nutty and smoky. The garnish was interesting, citrus pickled red onion rings. I loved it and wanted more. All their salsas were puréed; with each having a distinct flavor. We enjoyed two: orange and red. We saw a green salsa on another table. The chips are house made as are the tortillas. There's a big window into the kitchen, which we enjoyed. It was interesting and fun to see how the dishes and tortillas were prepared. There is a soda fountain as well as three aguas frescas in fountain dispensers. There's also a refrigerator with some bottled soft drinks traditional to Mexico, including Mexican Coca Cola. We heard about this place from my son and his fiancé, who is Mexican. It had her endorsement so we were pretty confident it would be great. And it was. They like to order the tacos. I think if that's all you order (not a combination meal) you can get a nice meal for under 15 bucks with a beverage. Only downside, they're closed on Sunday... that's when people like to have lunch out after church so they're missing out on some good revenue. Seems, however, they're doing plenty of sales, even with missing a big weekend day. Most of the tables were occupied during the time we were there. Enjoy!

Absolutely not happy with this restaurant anymore. Since they've opened up they have highly increased their prices and reduced the quality and amount of food they serve. They were actually good when they opened up during the pandemic and now they are just taking advantage of consumers with their high prices and skimpy meat dishes . The frustrating part was I even asked if they put equal amounts of chicken in their burritos and the manager said "we always do" it was an out right lie. I paid $31.00 for two burritos. Never again. I don't recommend this place unless you want to get taken advantage of. Try the Main kitchen in Chatsworth they have huge excellent delicious burritos

The cleanest little hole in the wall! Immaculate! You can watch as they make your homemade tortillas. I bring home food from this little jewel often. Never disappointed. From tacos to burritos, to my favorite their Gorditas. All l can add is YUM! YUM! YUM! I wish they had a beer license! Then I would eat in. Try it, you will Thank me. Thank them instead.

Some of the best tacos I have had in California. We had the fish tacos and asada taco. Fresh made tortillas from scratch, cooked just right. The people that work there were very attentive and polite. Excellent service. Will come again soon.

Upon looking for some vegetarian friendly tacos, Armando's in Thousand Oaks was recommended on Google with great reviews. The reviews were justified, as the tacos here were absolutely delicious! I ordered the Beyond Meat and regular Fried Crunchy tacos and am still thinking about them. Perfectly crispy and tons of flavor. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend for the LA area!

I ordered takeout and the tacos I ate were 4 stars. The asada they serve here is braised and then cooked on a plancha, definitely not grilled. I believe they are using chuck roast, called diesmillo in Spanish. It may be a little tougher than flap meat but it is tastier. The pastor was well marinated and tender. Although it is not cooked on a trompo the taco is still very good. The corn tortillas also helped make this a good taco. I'm not completely sure but I believe they use masa to make their tortillas instead of masa flour. The salsas were pretty good here as well. The salsa verde was good but the orange oil based salsa was a bit on the bland side. Finally, -1 star for packaging the rice and the refried beans together in the same container. They are listed as separate items on the menu so I expected to receive separately. The beans were extremely salty as well. I will have to try the tamales next time.

Meh, not impressed. The guacamole had no flavor was like runny, the meat in the taco was so so. Rice had no flavor & the refried beans was prolly the tastiest thing on the plate but not the best I have had. Ok I tried this new spot unfortunately I won't be coming back.

The staff is professional, friendly and on task. We were greeted by the daughter of the owner. She is very friendly and helpful. We ordered carne asada, grilled fish and carnitas tacos. They were made to order. Armando's makes their soft tortillas fresh for every order. They were amazing. The tacos were very tasty and the prices are good too. The restaurant is bright, nice high ceilings and spotless. We are only in town for 24 hours and plan to go back on our way to the airport. We highly recommend!!!

Great service, cute decor and really good tacos! They have mild and hot sauce both were very good. They also have Tapatio at the tables.

The fact that they have 2 violations from the health department is not a surprise to me especially after I ordered carnitas burrito that recked of fish... come to open the burrito to find fish in it. This is the 3rd strike. The meats is bland and obviously not kept properly. The tacos are 80% lettuce, the bowls are all rice and beans. I was really hoping this place would live up to the "FRESH ORIGINAL MEXICAN FOOD" but it does not.

Don't come here unless u have two hours to spend just to have a F* tacos Owners are busy scratching his B* vs serving customers U give this place two months before they run out of money or steam ! And who ever gave this place more than ONE start probably never had TACO BALL! TACO BELL is 100 x better than this dump

This staff is super awesome. I put in a pickup on DoorDash, which apparently is more expensive, so she called me, to place my order directly, and on top of that, helped me make my order even cheaper by showing me an alternate way to order. The tacos were divine, everything was perfectly seasoned. Genuinely awesome spot.
