We had a wonderful first experience! We were celebrating and they brought us a complimentary glass of champagne. The wine was amazing and the food was unique. We can't wait to go back.
Excellent service and great food!! Ordered the Crispy Cauliflower to start, then Branzino, Roasted Carrots and Truffle Fries. Do have the Bread Pudding for dessert, you won't be disappointed 😍 Also great cocktails and wine!
Always a pleasure to dine at Cork Dork. The service, the atmosphere, the drinks, the wine selection, the food taste, quality, presentation, and all is always top notch. Chef Danny does a fantastic job and genuinely loves what he does and it shows. This visit felt all around great and we look forward to our next visit. If you haven't been, do you yourself a favor and make a reservation!
Unbelievable food atmosphere, etc. this is a must go to for any foodies. Best spot in all Ventura County.
First time to this very unique restaurant and wine bar. Overall, outstanding experience. This restaurant and wine bar offers an experience identical to a high end Napa Valley restaurant or winery/vineyard. Awesome menu designed daily with fresh produce, best meats and seafood. Wine list well researched and custom. Offers wine flights including Opus One at very reasonable prices. Service was 5 stars, our server was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and even designed a custom desert wine flight of Port for our table. This place will move to one of top restaurants in the area. Very impressed. Thank you for a wonderful night!
A real gem in Oak Park. Delicious food and amazing service. The vibe was a bit brutalist with so many hard, cold surfaces. I think it might feel warmer in the evening when it's dark out and there's a larger crowd.
My husband and I have been to Cork Dork at least a dozen times now. We've seen the restaurant evolve, and while we keep coming back for the food and a few key people, there's a certain inconsistency that's become increasingly noticeable. Let's start with the bright spots, because they truly shine. Chef Danny is a culinary magician. Every dish we've had has been consistently delicious, showcasing innovative flavor combinations and perfectly portioned servings. The prices are more than fair for the quality you receive. And don't even get me started on the desserts! Their bread pudding is a masterpiece, a decadent treat we look forward to when it's available. Plus, their wine selection is truly impressive. Options by the glass you rarely find elsewhere. Our experience is further elevated by two exceptional employees: Rosie, the bartender, and our server Lindy. Rosie is a ray of sunshine, always greeting us with a warm smile and crafting the most fantastic drinks. She remembers our preferences and makes us feel like valued guests. It was our first time meeting Lindy, but was equally outstanding. They were engaging, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations and making our dining experience truly enjoyable. Rosie makes amazing cocktails. Unfortunately, there's a flip side to this story. The manager, while not outright rude, has never shown any recognition of our long-term patronage. It's a small thing, but after dining here, more than a dozen times, it feels impersonal. We've never felt particularly welcomed by him, and his demeanor often lacks the warmth we experience from the rest of the staff. Despite this, we continue to return to because Chef Danny's food, Rosie's hospitality, and the overall excellent service outweigh the managerial shortcomings. If you're looking for fantastic food, unique wines, and a genuinely friendly bar experience, this place is worth a visit.
Amazing food, nice ambiance, great service, never too crowded (which really surprises me). Drinks are a bit pricey but I understand the place has to turn a profit. I've been at least 25 times and will continue going. Bob (head waiter) is super knowledgeable about wine and very helpful on all selections.
High quality food but small portions and overpriced. The dishes are excellently prepared with fresh ingredients, some of the tastiest around, in my opinion. For example, the skirt steak was crispy and charred on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside; and the branzino was soft and delicious (each dish $42). However, the portions are small and we left hungry after spending over $140 (before tip) for two appetizers, two entrees, and a beer.

Been here several times with my wife and it never fails. Tasting menu is superb if you want an omakase-like experience with a variety of diverse appetizers, entrees and desserts. Wine pairing goes very nicely with every dish as well. Highly recommended.

We tried this restaurant for the first time and we were very impressed. The food was delicious ! We each had a cocktail which were also very tasty! We had the Peach Galette for dessert and it was amazing! We plan to go back and take some family and friends. Give it a try!
We had dinner here tonight for the first time. We were in outside seating, which was fine, although rowdy with the other large tables. The service was excellent and very attentive. I had the halibut in curry sauce, which was very good. The fish was perfectly cooked and the curry sauce was rich, but not too spicy. My husband had the skirt steak, which he said was also very good. Overall, we had a very delightful night out and dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Our experience was impeccable and exquisite! When I made the reservation I mentioned it was our anniversary. At the table was placed a “Happy Anniversary” card signed by the staff. Our waited, Bob, knew every single detail on the menu. He is a Sommelier and it shows. He gave us great recommendations. Our food was brought out by the chef and co owner, Danny. He was SO personable, caring, genuine and loving. So incredibly welcoming! We felt like we had a private date at the restaurant, it was absolutely flawless. The food is locally sourced from farms and you can taste how clean, fresh and vibrant it is. The desserts were out of this world. 10000% going back!
Beautiful experience at this fine establishment. The wine selection is unparalleled, and the food is amazing as well. We had a great time talking wine with Dan, and his knowledge is as strong as it gets. It was so good, we left to get another drink next door and came back immediately for another bottle there instead. Thanks!
