We have been going to country harvest in NEWBURY PARK for over 30 years with the older owners and the new owners alike. It has been an average at best experience but we like to keep local businesses going.The last two times we were there we were turned away they said they were closed. One was 5 minutes after 2pm, which is fine, as they close at 2pm... so the next time we came it was five minutes before 2 PM, and they seated us, then another worker came out and said 'we’re closed' .... ?? so my question is: how early do we need to arrive before closing....and not be turned away? 15-20 min?? I’m rather disappointed with this type of behavior and even though it might seem trivial... I won’t be going back anytime soon as the service has gone downhill a bit . Lastly, our 'go to lunch' the Veggie Sandwich is served on cardboard bread now, which makes it easy to not be coming back.

Excellent food and service. It's our first time here but not our last! I had the vegetable omlette with fruit and a delicious home made blueberry muffin(yummmy!) My husband had the tuna melt with fries and my daughter had their amazing chicken fried steak and eggs

Had the huevos rancheros, steak and eggs, two egg breakfast, and waffle. Food was pretty good but the waffle was slightly overdone. Very busy.

It was really just what we were looking for. There wasn't a wait - there is a decent number of tables... two rooms.The menu is large with many options, and everyone was very happy with their selection! They are pretty good about making things just as you want them... I actually overheard a table next to us ask if they could make something that wasn't even close to being on the menu, and the waitress checked with the cook and said, "Yeah, they can do that"!The staff is friendly with the perfect amount of attentiveness. The prices are reasonable as well. Really, I don't have a bad thing to say about this place. If I could make one request it'd be to get some other flavors of diet or zero sugar soda.If you want to eat somewhere local, that's not fancy or too expensive, this is it!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! They have a great kids menu!

Huge portions! All three of us had different Omelets (one Veggie and two Greek). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Definitely recommend their house made Biscuit ? - Huge (can add Gravy for extra charge). Mimosa was good and had came with a freshly cut strawberry on top. Servers took great care of us.

Eat good old fashioned American cuisine here and you'll come back again and again! Healthy food and good portions. Clean restaurant and I think it's clever how they always have it decorated for the current holiday or theme!
