Food is what you'd expect, but wow that bathroom is so awful my eyes were tearing, and I was sober. Maybe that is the problem???

Very much what you expect. I haven't been in over a year and boy did they raise the prices. $17 for a burger that a year ago was $12? I understand inflation but that is a big jump. What really gets me is ordering a a rum and coke. They charge $8 for the rum and the 30 cents for the coke. Huge turnoff and will reconsider my options for next time. The happy hour is also a joke. too many better options around town to pay those prices.

Great little British pub. They could use more imported beer on tap.

We don't frequent Thousand Oaks at all but as we were in the area we searched for pub food -- one of our often go-to lunch restaurant types -- and this place came right up with solid reviews so we gave it a go.

It was a bit hard to find at first being tucked away in the shopping center but there was plenty of parking available. Walking in through the patio, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and they let us sit wherever. The motif was, of course, British and it was showing a bit of age but still things were clean in the dining area and ample room between tables.

We started with the pretzel which was delicious! Big and well cooked and very fresh. Don't forget the Colemans!!!

We then tried the Veg Curry, the King Fish and Chips, and Toad in the Hole. All three were fantastic! Piping hot, good veg in the curry, yummy gravy on the toad in the hole, and fish had just the right amount of batter without being overly greasy. The chips were great too although a slight too much on the crispy side.

Beer selection was a combo of British and American/local fair with plenty on tap.

Staff was attentive and polite as well.

So overall it was a lovely experience and I'd definitely recommend taking a visit for anyone in the area!

I visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the server Abigail was. Beyond her prompt service the food was absolutely phenomenal and the beer ice cold. 10/10 would recommend

The fish and chips are great. Why hide the prices on the online menu though? It's obnoxious, and that sort of nonsense is usually reserved for pompous restaurants. Fortunately this one isn't so I have no idea why they'd tilt in this direction.

Predatory men that stalk the bar looking for drunk women to prey on! Claim they work there and are the managers! BE CAREFUL LADIES! These guys tried to separate me from my friends and kick them out while blocking me in the bar! Then tried to fight my male friends that came in and grabbed me when they saw what was happening and me telling them “no I’m good I have a ride.” “No I don’t want to hook up with your homie.” It was a very messed up situation and I hope the owners handle this accordingly. The bar tenders weren’t even willing to help. They told my friends “maybe you guys need to go outside and fight about it.” What would have had happen if I didn’t have my guy friends there!? Good luck and be careful!!

Great English Pub! They are playing the Euro Cup and opened early for a 9am match. Food was delicious, they had a proper vegetarian English Breakfast which seems to be hard to find here.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

Abigail did a great job and was very patient with our large party. She sang the birthday song for my mom whom wes were celebrating at her favorite pub. We pregamed at the bar and I couldn't help noticing the bartender was not friendly and borderline rude, but that didn’t ruin the experience overall, just unfortunate as it is a social job where smiles are expected. Will definitely recommend Crown and Anchor for anyone looking for a delicious fish and chips in a classy diamond pleated booth for holiday. 5 stars across the board.

Kid-friendliness: Boosters and high chairs available. The kids were treated with respect. No visable adversity from staff in regard to our kids.
