Go Fish & Sushi has officially become our go-to spot. We’ve made it a tradition to eat here pretty much every Friday, and even when we can't stay, their takeout is just as high-quality and fresh.
Why We Love It:
The Chef’s Specials: We’ve ordered almost every special roll on the menu at this point, and they are consistently delicious. You can tell the fish is fresh and the combinations are well-thought-out.
Generous Portions: Unlike many sushi spots that overcharge for tiny bites, the portions here are very satisfying. You definitely get your money's worth.
Kid-Approved: Our kids absolutely love the Salmon Teriyaki. It’s their favorite spot to go get dinner after gymnastics.
Atmosphere: It is incredibly family-friendly. The staff always makes us feel welcome, which makes dining out with the whole crew much less stressful.
If you’re looking for a reliable, tasty, and welcoming sushi spot, this is it. We’ll see you guys next Friday!

Love this place. The fish was unbelievably fresh, rolls were perfectly balanced (not overstuffed), and the rice texture was on point. Service was friendly and fast, vibe chill but lively, and prices were fair for the quality. Definitely coming back next time I need solid sushi.

Highly recommended!
First ate at the Simi Valley spot and was immediately impressed
This review is overdue as the TO Blvd spot has now been open over a year now
This spot definitely deserves more recognition as I think they are a top-tier local sushi restaurant and we will be going more often
So…
Sitting at the bar is a must
The chef(s) was so friendly and explained where each fish was caught and why he prepared it a certain way (think it was Tomas)
The fish here is on another level
We had the Toro (fatty tuna) and it literally melted the second it hit my tongue
You can tell they source high-quality, fresh cuts, the Yellowtail Belly was buttery and had zero 'fishy' aftertaste
The Bluefin was so fresh served with a tiny bit of
Kizami-Wasabi on top it tasted like we were eating it in Hawaii
Even the Salmon and Albacore were heavenly delicious
It’s the kind of quality you usually only find at high-end omakase spots in the city
Oh and the Scallops seemed super fresh melting in your mouth
This is a hidden gem for purists
They use real wasabi (not the green paste), and the chef brushes a light layer of nikiri (house-made soy glaze) on each piece, so you don't even need to dip it
As earlier noted, they had Kizami-Wasabi a relish made from the real, chopped wasabi stem, which offers a unique crunchy texture and a well-rounded, sharp heat that fades cleanly
It’s an authentic experience where the craftsmanship of the chef(s) really shines through
Well, we don’t order rolls, everyone else was and they were Huge!
The atmosphere was very cozy and the decor is beautiful
I also appreciated all the TVs so I could watch some sports while not detracting from the conversation with my dinner partner
Even though it was a busy night, the service was attentive and we never felt rushed
It felt less like a meal and more like a curated experience
Also this place respects the rice!
Anyone who eats a lot of sushi knows that the rice is 50% of the sushi
The shari was served at the perfect temperature, seasoned with just enough vinegar to complement the fish without overpowering it
The grains were distinct and held together perfectly - not that cold, mushy fridge-style rice you get at cheaper places
Worth the price, not any more expensive than most other local options and the quality justifies it!
They also have some limited shared off street parking located nextdoor to the newly opened Santal TO Apt Bldg a sign posted 2HR PARKING TIL 9PM
Also a short walk for street parking
And for a upscale date night experience I believe the nextdoor restaurant Basta offers valet parking
However, either way tell them “Woody’s Review” brought you back!
I think you’ll be very satisfied eating here!

This is our go to sushi spot. Quality sushi and large portions for a great price! Highly recommend the spicy tuna sensation! Plus, I have a gluten allergy and they are always able to accommodate me, including offering
gluten free soy sauce.

AWFULL
Salmon sushi, pics have 4 rolls...only got 2 and a lot of ginger.
Miso soup, bland, watered down, clearly not enough miso.
Gyoza was over fried and too crunchy which seemed dry.
First time test before going after their rolls, and I won't be going after their rolls now. Shame, maybe lasts 9 months, this is day 3 after their launch. So many other options around, this is a sink no swim unless drastic changes. Felt below mediocre at best. 4/10
Literally best part was the mountain of ginger because I was left with half the salmon sushi and at least I had a ton of ginger to eat.

Go Fish is the exact reason I try new sushi places whenever I have the opportunity to, instead of always going back to old favorites.
You will be presented with the large and expected variety of rolls SoCal sushi spots are known for, and everything we sampled was quite tasty and made with quality ingredients with evident pride. The nigiri, however was unexpectedly good - Amberjack, Yellowtail, Salmon, and especially the Toro were fresh, delicious and honestly more generous in portion than most of the restaurants I've eaten in and around Los Angeles.
And lastly, the service was exceptional - our waitress was helpful, conversational, and made many suggestions which enhanced both our drink and food choices - thank you!

Emma was awesome helping the conejo chamber event and told me all about the Red Bull roll with the steak hidden under the sliced jalapeño, it’s awesome. Great sushi and great service. Thank you for your time.

Ive been a loyal client of Go Fish in Simi Valley for many years now. I have now moved out to the Conejo Valley and am more than happy that Go Fish has opened a second location out here! The location is in a budding trend area that is consistently anchoring with other fun and delectable places to eat and visit- but back to Go Fish-- Todd and Robin hit out out of the park again. From the moment you step on the 'sand' in the front entrance and wade down below the depths of the sea to catch some fish, the journey is magnificently handled from aesthetics to the quality of the food. Their host and wait staff are always engaging and pleasant, as well as accommodating to any request. I love sushi, and I love to bring my friends to Go Fish as was the case last night. My friend is keto, though, so has to watch her carb intake (rice). Did you know that they can make any roll you want without rice? It's not just limited to the Dream Roll (photo attached)!! Top notch quality, top notch sushi and a great visceral experience will always have my happy returns. Thanks to all at Go Fish!

Really bad to see what has happened to this place. I loved it at first but it was really clear that we were not wanted here tonight. Fortunately Cho Cho is right down the street. We will be taking our sushi business back there. They were always happy to see us.
