Greco's New York Pizza - Thousand Oaks

My original 5 star review was from 7 years ago. I've long loved Greco's for their NY style large, thin, & delicious pizza.
Pizza is my favorite food so I consider myself well versed in these things. Previously I would consider this pizza top tier.

Unfortunately, after the change in management the quality is exponentially decreased so I find myself updating my comment less review to a review with my thoughts laid out.

Again all this is being compared to my baseline which was the previous ownership's top tier quality pizza. By comparison, now the ratio of cheese to bread is too much. The cheese is also not cooked enough. The size of the slices are also smaller.

Idk what to say but I'm very disappointed...

Absolutely amazing experience at Greco’s Pizza! The moment I walked in the door, Ricardo and his wife welcomed me with the warmest, most genuine hospitality. You can instantly tell this is a family-owned spot run by an authentic Italian family, and that makes all the difference. The place is super clean, well-kept, and gives off those classic neighborhood pizzeria vibes.

Now the pizza… WOW. Freshly made, full of flavor, and everything you'd hope for in authentic New York-style Italian pizza. You can’t go wrong here. The crust, the sauce, the cheese—it’s all on point. I left full, happy, and already thinking about my next visit.

I see this place almost daily when I walk out of the gym and of course the pizza looks delicious in their photos, especially right after a heavy workout. Finally stopped by and got a couple slices of pepperoni pizza. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the pizza was underwhelming. It is comparable to any take and bake store bought pizza, or cafeteria pizza. Maybe I just caught em on a bad day.

This place really is a hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. I haven't been here in years but the food is amazing. The sandwiches are delicious and better than i remember.

Had some time to kill and figured I'd stop on in. Glad I did! Will be coming back

New York Pizza Vegetarian, got a big pizza to bring home, to share with friends and family. Delicious and filling, had two slices, leaving plenty left for my family. (and my late night snack, God willing). Check it out Thousand Oaks. In The Janss Mall, right next to the theater.

Vegetarian options: I ordered a vegetarian pizza and a cappucino. Was absolutely delicious, and made to order. I noticed gluten free options as well. While there I spoke with the owners and discovered folks, and families can order and take this their orders packaged into the movie theatre right next door. Dinner, and a movie.

The food is good and I've been here multiple times. My rating stands because of the hospitality of one of the staff and the prices. The gentleman with the glasses can be a bit standoffish and I always feel like he's rushing me when I'm ordering. The food is very pricey for just one pizza. Otherwise, good pizza. (Ask for more sauce on it if you prefer your pizza with plenty)

I have had the opportunity to eat here a number of times since the current owners took over and everything from the service to the delicious pizza have been excellent...Great fresh brewed Italian style Lattes as well...this is a must visit place to put on your radar.

New ownership and the food is excellent. New items available and very affordable pricing. The minestrone, lasagna and pizza were a hit. I will definitely be back. Everyone should give them a try. It is owned by the son of Paola and Sandro who owned it years ago.

Let's talk about the star of the show—the slices! They are, hands down, the largest I've ever seen! Each slice is a mouthwatering, cheesy masterpiece that practically spills over the edges of the plate. It’s an amazing value for the price and you won't leave hungry. The slices are double Costco sized!! The taste is what you'd expect from a top-notch New York pizzeria. The crust is thin and crisp with just the right amount of chewiness. The tomato sauce is tangy, and the cheese is perfectly melted. Whether you go for a classic cheese slice or any one of a number of toppings you won’t regret it.And if you have a party ask for their 28” it’s massive! It barely fits out the door and there’s no loss in quality.The staff here is friendly and efficient especially that guy named Josh. He promised me the pizza out in 15 minutes and it was out in 5. This is a great spot for any lunch break considering the generous portion size and the amazing taste. Although at first glance the prices appear steep, you definitely get the value for your money.Greco's New York Pizzeria is a must-visit for pizza lovers. The massive slices, combined with their authentic New York flavor, create an unforgettable experience.
