They were the best chicken spot in TO, I can’t believe they closed! The location was probably the problem. I guess I’ll have to settle for angry chicks or raising canes until my prayers are answered and a Zaxby’s opens up somewhere within 30 miles.

Drove across town to come have lunch. They're not open during their posted hours. Literally wasted half my lunch break driving here and now I just have to drive straight back to the job site without food because they don't open when they say they do.

Cool vibe although known for their Great chicken, I was craving a Smashburger that they have here , excellent food, great service, owner George, is very friendly and helpful. Outside seating, plenty of free easy parking, not far from freeway

We we’re on our way to the Bank of America Civic Arts Plaza in Simi Valley and made a stop at Mother Cluckin Chicken—oh my God, what an experience! The food was insanely good. I ordered the chicken nuggets with medium spice, and they were absolutely perfect—just the right amount of kick and flavor. I even had the chance to meet the manager and the cook, and everyone there was so warm and welcoming. Hands down, this is one of the best chicken spots I’ve ever been to. You’ve earned every bit of this 5-star rating!

- TRAIN YOUR STAFF ON FOOD ALLERGIES -
On July 8 2025 I called the restaurant and a man answered the phone. I told him my husband has a peanut and tree nut allergy and asked if they used any peanut oil or have nuts in the restaurant. He confidently said “no” and we ended the call. That night we decided to eat somewhere else, so we didn’t go.
Flash forward to today, and I was going to pick up a sandwich for my husband. I walked in and decided I’d ask just to double check. The lady said “we do use peanut oil”. I was horrified.
If I had gone off of what the man said on the phone, my husband would not be here today. He has a deadly peanut allergy and reacts to peanut oil even if it’s refined. This is absolutely unacceptable and your staff needs to be trained on the seriousness of food allergies and not to take it lightly.

Chicken is super Greasy!!!! Made me full sick after having one bite I ended up throwing the whole meal away… you have the guy at the front counter picking at the fries that the cook has on her counter that is going into ppls meals…. Keep in mind he’s dealing with cash, cards and he’s touching the food with no gloves…. Never again….
