Absolutely fantastic chicken. The fries are also beautifully crispy. Heads up, the hot is a little hotter than expected, but delicious nonetheless. Absolutely recommend for late nights and cool vibes.

Hot Motha Clucker exceeds expectations! The chicken tenders, slaw and the Mac n cheese are amazing. My favorite are the chicken sliders served on Martin's Potato Rolls - the best!! The atmosphere is great and the vibe makes the space an ideal spot to meet up and hang out! Food service is on point, food is served hot and fresh and the staff are polite, attentive and provide service with a smile. Check out Hot Motha Clucker in Thousand Oaks - they do not disappoint!!!

Genuinely the best fried chicken restaurant I’ve ever been to. The sauce was better than anything I’ve tried.

Food was good. Fast food type of place with a little seating but not a lot. Interesting dishes, enjoyed it.

What I found odd was my bill was, for example, $13.25 and I gave her a $20 and she gave me back 7 dollars.Puzzled…I said you gave me $7 instead of $6.75. She said oh we don’t carry change as you can see… so we just round up or down depending on what the amount is. So if the bill came to $14.60 and I gave her a $20. I would get back six dollars? Yes, she replied. I said and “not my change” that doesn’t make sense. How do you sell that idea? She shrugged .. so In this instance, it worked out to my advantage, I don’t know if I would like that otherwise. Just sayin.

We arrived at 11am when it says they open and stayed outside for 5 min. We saw someone inside but no one ever opened the door to tell us they are running late or what was going on. We even saw someone go in and then lock it again. Manager needs to update hours if they aren't open at 11am. Super disappointed

Interior was nice with a shuffle board to keep you occupied. We wanted to try this place as it's not often you find fried pickles. Pickles did not disappoint! Chefs special is the chicken sandwich, I got it with medium heat. Not a huge chicken person but yes I'd go for this again. Chicken sliders were juicy and good. I think the loaded fries were ok and probably best eaten fresh, by the time I brought it home, it was not memorable. All around I'd go back and eat here again. Don't expect the most friendly service but also not rude.

I'm from out of town, about two hours east of Thousand Oaks. We stopped in after a show at the theatre. It wasn't that late, about 9:30 and everything was closed, which I thought was really strange. HMC was the only thing open and down the street from the theatre. I ordered the original chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks , my husband and I ordered the fried pickles. While we sat and ate our food, the owner was talking to us. He was really nice and we had great conversation about being married and children. The food was so delicious. The fried pickles were so good, I even ate some cold in the car on the way home, and they were still crispy. The mozzarella sticks had a really good cheese pull. I ate all of my chicken sandwich. It was tender, flavorful and crispy, especially paired with the sauce. If I'm ever near Thousand Oaks again in the future, I'm definitely coming back!

Probably one of the worst places I’ve ate at in a while. Don’t know why they are even open. Should rebrand completely because whoever made that chicken recipe need to start a new career. Tried mild hot and medium, all trash. If you want to try dry RUBBERY bland chicken this is for you. Fries, terrible, like how is it so hard to get fries right? Sauce isn’t really that good. This place changed there menu before, last time is was brioche buns instead of the regular buns they have now. Honestly that bun was fine, however JUST CHANGE THE CHICKEN, also it drys and gets rubbery because it’s so damn skinny, like you smushed it down with a hammer and threw it in the fryer for to long just to slap some paprika on it and call it “Nashville hot chicken”. Like stop, rebrand yourself and fix the recipes and i guarantee this place will have more people.

I went here with my sister and we enjoyed the entertainment provided while waiting as they have tvs, shuffleboard, and a water pong table. They had very flavorful chicken alongside good portion sizes. They weren't stingy with the sauces as they give you both ranch and their chicken sauce. I give it five stars considering the fact that it's a faster food place and still delivered a big order in timely manner.

Fresh and delicious. Friendly service. The place appears to be very clean. We will come back again definitely.

Great comfort food option overall! The inside is small but decorated very well, which makes it inviting. I went in the middle of the day so the bar area and game section were not busy, but I think the atmosphere has potential later hours in the evening. The service was good! It is a fast casual type of spot, but the employee working at the time answered some questions I had and took time to talk to me while I was waiting. On that note, I think there was only one cook during lunch time. And it did take time for my food to come out, also assuming it is fresh and made to order.

And I surprise that Shirley new to the community. Apple portions of chicken with different degrees of heat to your liking. Everything is made fresh so it does take a little weight but it is worth it. An abundant portion of fries are also included... Too much in my opinion.

It was in the afternoon after the lunch crowd already had dispersed when I reached to this unique chicken sandwich place. As a 1st timer, I scanned across the menu board in search of its special item, what made it unique; it found out later that the sauce is its uniqueness, from 'country', no heat, mild, medium, hot, to 'Clucked Up'. I wasn't ready for 'clucked up', so I ordered a medium l, original moths clucker sandwich combo. Not a bad choice, after all. Price was average. In fact, very comparable or on cheaper side than the McDonald's decent chicken sandwich combo menu. The decor of the place was pretty modern minimalist with dark washed background. A few tables for eat in customers and counter for order & pickup. There were a few puzzles for eat-in customers to play while waiting for their order. There was a pong game table for serious party goers. A line of beer kegs were lined up on the floor to fulfill those beer pong-gamers. I could visual a happy hour there (not sure if they have a happy hour; I forgot to ask) I also noticed a few Hookahs on display, not sure if they were available for customers to use. For those who were low on their cell phone, a charging station was available on the counter. Perhaps, paid per usage. Enquirer at the.counter. The parking to this j on by was a bit tricky, one way in & the same way to come out. No EV chargers in its immediate vicinity. Overall, I enjoyed the sandwich just would remember to try its clucked up heat level. I definitely recommend this place if you are in town in Thousand Oaks. Bon appetite & enjoy your sandwiches...

I'm all about finding a good tender place, so I was super excited to hear about this restaurant. I didn't realize I had passed this place many times without realizing it was even here. First off, love the vibe of the restaurant. While waiting for our food, we had a lot of fun playing shuffleboard. Feels like it would be a good place to come for dinner, grab a beer, and play the game. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The chicken was so juicy with the perfect spice level. Combined with the soft bread and tasty sauce, it was exactly what a chicken sandwich should be. Fries could use a bit more seasoning, but the seasoning is a great compliment to the fries. And they give you a boatload of fries! We also grabbed a chicken tender order, and we found the typical spice levels to be pretty accurate. The tenders are also surprisingly large, so a good amount of quality chicken for the money. Compared to the sandwich, even though it's good, I'd rather order just the tender meal - feels like a better bang for your buck. Overall, I was super pleased with the experience here and am happy to have found a new, good chicken tender place!
