Islands Restaurant Newbury Park

Way overrated. We got the 8oz filet and the halibut. Filet was over salted, but cooked as requested. Halibut was dried out and overcooked. Sides were creamed corn which was more thick cream sauce than corn, and broccoli. Broccoli was good. Server came over at the end of our meal
Ambiance was crowded and loud. Haven't been here in years, now I know why. A big pass for us.

Great food, great service, lots of parking,

like I always remembered it with a great burger and great fries.

I think they're missing a drink that I used to really enjoy. It's off the menu now, but the service was great and the salsa was so so. .

Great food

Love visiting Islands NP at least once a week with my workers. Shaylene at the bar has got to be the friendliest and most efficient bartender/server I’ve seen. She handles multiple areas and doesn’t miss a beat. The food is great (love the sliders, add mayo please) and the vanilla shake is the bomb. Highly recommend this restaurant. And, the bar is the funnest place in the house at lunch time.

Dustin the general manager is great! He's very helpful, hands-on, responsive, positive and good problem solver. We were upset when islands took both our favorite drinks off the menu. He was very understanding, accommodating as much as he could be. Pretty impressive. His cool, calm demeanor seems perfect for dealing with stressful situations.
Oh, and all the servers are great! Our only issue is with corporate. They keep cancelling our favorite things. But we appreciate the staff so much, we keep coming back!

Had a very pleasant meal here with my husband. Got seated straight away and got our food quite quickly. Very efficient and friendly staff. Decent prices too

Getting the attention of our server was difficult. The amount of dressing received for their salad was minimal, certainly not enough to flavor the entire salad.
A 2nd round of food was brought to our table by mistake, and the person delivering it seemed like he wanted to call a foul on us for not remembering we ordered it... even though we were all eating the original meals we ordered.
The portions of the fries that came with each meal was disproportionate.

I've eaten at many Island restaurants, this was by far the worst experience ever encountered at any of them.

Definitely not worth the insidious check that followed.

Always amazing going there excellent service every time! It was my girlfriend's birthday and she's not particularly into very loud happy birthdays so they made an exception and was able to just a simple happy birthday the two options that they had for a free hi she doesn't like almonds in one of them and doesn't like fudge in the other one so they made it a simple Sunday for her and it was very special!!! Thank you Jack and Cameron!!!
