Among all the Peruvian restaurants it is the worst, the food is horrible and they charge in advance to return the food, I left this restaurant disappointed

I tried this place for the first time. I ordered take out through their website and requested the pickup time to be about 75 minutes. It was quite expensive for what we ordered. When I got there, I had to wait another 15 minutes past the pick up time. So it took them about 90 minutes to prepare 3 entrees, 2 appetizers, and 2 desserts. But it cost $150 with a 10% tip.

I was a bit annoyed because they didn't seem terribly busy, there were open tables, no line, and it looked like there were only 4 tickets on the board. Not to mention how expensive it all was and the fact that I was asked to leave a tip (and did) when I ordered online. I was a little annoyed I couldn't take back my tip, honestly.

They eventually apologized for the wait when they handed me my food and I was ok giving them the benefit of the doubt and brushing it off because of the holiday rush.

The big problem here is my sister found METAL SHAVINGS in her food! She picked it out of her mouth! How terrifying! I can understand the delay getting our food but there is absolutely no excuse for this. It was instantly off putting for obvious reasons and who knows if we ingested any of it or not.

The food we did have was good but given the food safety issue, we will not be returning.

We found this great place hidden amongst Thousand Oaks. This place you could smell how amazing it was on the outside. We sat down and met the owner who walked us thru all the types of dishes and even taught us a few phrases and translations. He also recommend we try the purple corn drink, which was delicious. For meals we ordered the lamb and the beef, and they both came with rice and sauce. Both dishes were mouth wateringly delicious and freshly cooked. The service was great, they checked on us periodically. The prices were also great, ever affordable for the amount of food. Check this place out if you ever wanted to try some Peruvian food! It’s worth it!

The food was really good. The only thing I have to complain. Is the price of the cheesecake, I don’t think is worth to pay $12 for this small pice of maracuya cheesecake. It was my first time so I didn’t know what to expect and wasn’t good just a little device or you guys change the price or just take the cheesecake out of the menu because it’s not good.
But if it was amazing, this is what matters 🥰

Casual. Perfect for a family dinner with young children. Our grown children wanted us to experience delicious Peruvian food. They knew what to order. This was me and my husband's first time eating Peruvian food. The lovely gentleman suggested a lamb special, and my husband loved it. It fell off the bone! I had a shrimp dish in a delicate tomato sauce...different...delicious. Authentically prepared. Highly recommend!

Vegetarian options: Not sure because we allowed our children to suggest what to try and the chef/host/waiter recommended different items on the menu.

Dietary restrictions: Our granddaughter has many allergies and she had a wonderful meal.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly! Casual, clean, eatery! Lovely, warm, and pleasant people! Seemed like a family business!

One of the best Aji de Gallina I've had. Great Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Mariscos. I would definitely eat there again and again!

Came here with a group of friends and wow! What a nice surprise! The lomo saltado had tender beef and delicately seasoned rice. I also tried the plantains which were perfectly cooked. The owner and staff were so welcoming and catering. Peru is one of my favorite countries so I'm so happy we have an authentic experience in our own backyard!
