We had a really disappointing experience here. The service was slow and inattentive. We were served mediocre mackerel that didn't taste fresh, and the one sushi roll was clearly still frozen in the middle. Honestly surprised we didn't get sick. Definitely wouldn't recommended based on our visit.

From the moment we walked in, the staff acted like we were an inconvenience. No greeting, no smiles, and slow, careless service the whole time. When the food finally came, the sushi was mushy, flavorless, and my bluefin was frozen in the middle. Plates sat uncleared, refills never came, and any question we asked was met with attitude. Between the bad food and worse service, this place is a total embarrassment.

Worst sushi experience in Thousand Oaks. My bluefin was literally frozen in the center. They brag about “happy hour all day” but it’s clear they’re on their way out of business. Service was rude beyond belief, and things nearly turned into a fight with a staff member in the parking lot. Disgusting food, hostile service – will never step foot here again.

Oh dear. The first few times I ate at Love Sushi, I loved it! I soon became a regular. But my most recent visit was utterly disappointing. My spicy tuna tasted sour and fermented. It was literally fizzy.
My salad was missing its usual ingredients and the lettuce was completely different. The rolls my boyfriend I regularly order tasted like nothing we’ve ever had before.
We noticed there is one chef in particular (blue Dodgers hat) who does a GREAT job. But on this day, we were served by a sushi chef we hadn’t seen before. He was noticeably rude to the wait staff, too.
Our food was so bad we only had a few bites and had to let the server know we couldn’t possibly eat this. The management did not think to comp our meal and we paid $70 for garbage we could not eat.
We used to like the happy hour here and their rolls seemed pretty fresh despite the sometimes inconsistent service. But we didn’t mind—it was endearing and homey.
But after the awful meal we had last time, we have not been back. Sorry guys.
