The food is absolutely outstanding, and the place itself is beautiful and very high-end. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and elevated.
The sushi is truly rare and special — incredibly fresh, creative, and perfectly balanced. It literally melts in your mouth like butter. Every bite felt refined and indulgent.
Even the bread deserves its own mention — unbelievably delicious, warm, and flavorful. You can tell they care about every detail, not just the main dishes.
The service was kind, attentive, and professional. The staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the entire evening.
On New Year’s, they decorate the space in the most stunning way. The entire venue transforms — gorgeous décor, an amazing atmosphere, and so many beautiful balloons that create a festive, joyful vibe. It feels celebratory yet elegant at the same time.
And the cocktails — wow. They were served over dry ice, creating a dramatic, smoky presentation that looked absolutely magical. It added such a unique and memorable touch to the experience.
Overall, it was an incredible night — delicious, beautiful, and truly special from start to finish

I visited this with high expectations based on peer recommendations and Maestros did not disappoint. I enjoyed a very delicious steak. Service was top notch. Valet parking is pro. Good wine selection. The dessert was wow also. It’s a vibe.

I ordered dinner for takeout, and while they missed a few items, I spoke to Brian, the manager. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, making sure we were taken care of. His staff is amazing! I truly appreciate everything Brian did for us.

We had dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse with our friends and really enjoyed the experience. The portions are huge — the cake was super big, easily enough to share one dessert between four people. The steaks are also very generous, and one steak can be shared by two people without any problem. Everything we tried was yummy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great place for a relaxed dinner with friends and a good choice if you like large portions and a nice atmosphere.

I understand the hot plate is a great touch, but not when you cant eat the food since it is so hot it will burn you and any part of your arms that touches the plate. The asparagus and brussels sprouts had no remaining nutrient value since they cooked to almost ash. The service was extremely slow and we had to ask a manager to take our drink orders since we waited about 15 minutes for any drink order to be taken.

Burnt $275 steak. Unbelievable how they can't identify this prior to delivering to the table.

It is laughable that you pay big $$ to go to this restaurant & they don't bring bread to the table unless you pay for it! C'mon folks — they get $80-$90 for an a la carte! steak...Really?!!

Mastro's is always a good choice for steak and seafood! My family enjoys eating here and we always order the shrimp cocktail with the atomic horseradish. It's a favorite, although we all feel the burn of the horseradish! The steaks have always been perfectly cooked and the sides are plentiful and family style so everyone gets at least a taste!

A couple of days before Christmas Eve, we made reservations for a party of 12, planning to have two separate tables. However, an hour before our dinner, they called us to offer the option of a long table for our group. We truly appreciated this gesture. So we accepted it.

Our server, Raymond, was amazing, and the entire team at Mastros was exceptional. The food was excellent; I highly recommend sharing the large steaks, such as the porterhouse or the bone-in ribeye. The seasonal pecan butter cake was the best butter cake I’ve ever tasted—I wish they would have it on their menu all year round!

Bryan, the manager, checked on our table to ensure that we were well taken care of, and we had a nice conversation with him. Overall, our experience at Mastros in Thousand Oaks was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.
