We went there on a Groupon deal. We had made a reservation and when we arrived they said they were closing because of pipe issues. So I told them we had a reservation for 6:00pm and then she said oh yea, come on in. They never did end up closing the restaurant! We waited quite awhile before anyone came over to our table. Our waiter finally came over to greet us and take our drink order . Then we waited 12-15 for him to bring our drink order. We finally got the waiters attention and my husband asked if he had forgotten us and he said yes! Yikes! So we waited another few minutes to get our drinks. Then we ordered our meal and the server asked if we wanted white or red rice....come on, we are in a Mexican restaurant! So we said red and then he come out and told us they only had white rice left! We finally got our food and I had ordered a chicken enchilada but got shredded beef instead. It was a very limited menu and we were very disappointed. Won’t be back again.

I don't understand how this place is still in business, their food is delicious, their drinks are stiff, and their portions are massive.

Great experience, good food, and classy service! Loved the chorizo empanadas and the Mexican mule was great.

THE worst. This was my 3rd time, believing in chances to redeem over two previous unsatisfactory experiences. 100% this restaurant smells like there's a sewage pipe that broke on site. There was only one wait person, in the entire restaurant on a Thursday night and sweet as she might be, she was ineffective at serving our party of 7. The margarita was sub par at best, even when we specifically asked him to make it a certain way, and it's served in an underwhelming looking water glass. The food was tasteless and unappealing to look at. We had to send back the nachos. The salad was bland and the chopped chicken did not equal to the size of an average chicken breast. The chips are served cold, and only half full in the basket. The nauseating smell eventually drove us out. 3 strikes, you're out Maya.

45 minutes to wait just to get the drinks ordered? Not even busy at the time. Not going to waste our time at this place again.

I too, had a Groupon; which the waitress commented that these slammed her. The service was adequate, but the chicken in the enchiladas was gamey. My wife and I returned the chicken dishes due to this. The crispy asada taco was ok and the chile relleno was very good. The margarita was served in a tall glass instead of a margarita glass, which seemed weird for a Mexican restaurant. I will not be returning and I do not recommend based on food quality and value.

Got what I thought was a treat and a good deal, turned out to be disaster. Groupon for 2 for dinner any day. 2 margarita, 1 appetizer and 2 combo plates. A 40 dollar deal instead of 80 not worth Mexican establishment. Had better food from Sharkeys across the way or Latigo kid. Arrived at restaurant Saturday night at 7 pm and put in request for 2 people. After we got seated relatively quick at the first booth in front of restaurant then the disaster started... Good: The complementary chips. They were amazing.. Good: The place from the outside is stunning and looks super high end. Bad: Salsa was watered tomato. Super unfortunate.. Bad: The restroom smelled really horrible like sewage smell kept wafting out and the floor was sticky. The restroom is in front of the restaurant, so while you are eating, you are smelling sewage... Bad: The 4 hostess they kept on walking past our booth without any server to take our order for about 45 minutes. Had to ask for the server with our order with the menu raised to flag someone and even then the waitress took our order three times once for the 2 drinks and the second time to ask to see if we got the drinks then put in the order again, then another time for the rest of the food order. Then no cutlery, we had to ask for cutlery before she disappeared again. Bad: The shrimp nachos wasn't great. Shrimp was at least huge and plump and great color. Cheese looked like it was melted and kinda hardened like the food was ready but waiting under the heat lamp and clearly wasn't gooey when you picked up the chips like what nachos are supposed to be. Sour cream was a hardened glob. Did not look like sour cream creaminess. Looked like a ball of sour cream butter. The guacamole was okay tasting but sour, and the pinto beans were at the very bottom of the plate. The order of the nachos were off. Isn't the order chips first, Then all the toppings? and the jalapeí±o was vinegary and tasted like substance out of a can. Bad: The two drinks of margarita didn't come in a margarita glass but a regular glass such as a soft drink glass and hardly any tequila just margarita juice, slight liquor with no salt on either glass and lots of ice jampacked. The jalapeí±o margarita at least contained real jalapeí±o. Bad: The chicken enchiladas, the bland shredded chicken was stuck together in clumps and no real taste. The salsa verde was salty, And the plate was not hot at all. Did not want to finish the whole meal and tried to only eat the bland shredded chicken. Bad: The rice and beans.. the rice had a lot of hard grains. Every bite was a hard grain somewhere. Tasted like old and new rice were mixed together. Instant Mexican rice packets you get from Ralph's tasted better. Both contents was also very bland. Beans didn't taste metallic as people claim but then again was starving and beans with the shredded chicken was okay. I would rather have bland then too salty I guess. Bad:The combination plate of 2 beef tacos simply were interesting. The taco shell came apart in pieces in 1 bite and the beef was all 1 color. It was cooked through at least. Rice and beans were same as previous statement above. At least the rice and beans were consistently bland and flavorless. Everything tasted like microwaveable food without the flavor. Hard to believe people pay 80 dollars for an attempt at high end Sharky's. On top of everything the horrible bathroom stench still present and by the time we left, time was 9:15 pm. 2 hours and 15 minutes for bland Mexican food with bad service and sweet margaritas with no salt on margarita drink. Please beware..

My friends and I went last night, Saturday February 9, and it was not a good first impression. First, issue was beyond their control. They had a sewer issue from the women's restroom. Kudos to the staff for seating everyone on the other side of the restaurant and leaving the doors open. I have a heighten sense of smell so I had to hold my napkin over my nose whenever "The Scent" drifted in our direction. The seating outside is gorgeous. For a cold night the fire pits warmed up the patio enjoyable enough to eat outside but we opted for inside. Waiter: Sat us at our table asked us if we wanted to order drinks and then promptly disappeared for awhile. Hmmm.. Bar: There was a long wait for a not too busy of a night. We ordered drinks before dinner but they arrived only after several inquiries into there whereabouts. My friend ordered an 805 but got an IPA (). My margarita was GREAT and my other two friends who ordered the same thought so as well. So don't change anything there. Dining experience: Ok. First the good: Chicken tacos were good, (the chicken was cooked perfectly) rice and beans yummy. Shrimp cocktail looked amazing. The shrimp was a perfect color and size. Very fresh looking. Everyone else enjoyed their dinner. Now the bad: The tacos came with cilantro, onions, cheese, pico de Gallo, sour cream, lettuce and guacamole. I ordered mine without the pico. What I got was a little weird: no onions, no cilantro, no guacamole. So I got a very bland crispy chicken taco. My friend ordered her flautas for dinner but got them served to her as an appetizer and without her sides of rice and beans. The chicken was a little ashen in color and not very appetizing. This Girl knows her flautas so if she didn't like them that's saying a lot. Our fundido is served with warms tortillas not chips. So we had to ask for them; not a big deal but the fundido didn't look like what we expected but every chef has their own presentation. It was good. Overall: the food was served a little cold and not as requested when ordered. We will go back however. We believe in second chances.
