Nori Japanese Grill - THOUSAND OAKS

This place is a hidden jewel. We have been coming here for years and just realized that we never provided a review. Owner and his daughter work together to make the best food in Conejo Valley. Over the years we have had the bento boxes, ramen, the Korean hot pot, various sushi and crispy rice tuna (not on the menu). All fantastic!!

This is my family's favorite place to eat in the area. Reliable and inexpensive. Modest sushi/Japanese places are usually of questionable quality, but Nori does a steady business, which I think keeps things fresh.

We had a party of 13 for my child’s graduation and the food was excellent and the sushi so fresh. It’s a very small place which is cozy but for our party we sat outside which is shared covered patio with the pizza place next door. We had a wonderful time and they got the food out to us very quickly. Highly recommend it, the staff was very friendly. ? ??

Parking: Parking can be busy at times since there are other businesses there.

I ordered the “sun kissed” specialty roll. AVOCADO was listed in the description on the menu. See attached photo! Never in my life have I received a cut roll where one of the main ingredients is only included on two of the pieces! So ridiculous, especially after paying $15 for this.

This was takeout. I call it in & it’s always ready & always delicious. I go there regularly.

Dietary restrictions: I have to eat soft foods so I no longer order sushi but loved both sushi sampler rolls & any other roll I used to order.Now I order an eel bowl, love seaweed but can’t eat it now so they sub greens, the avocado is always fresh & delicious too. The miso soup that comes with it is the best I ever had. If weather ok & I have time I love that I can eat outside

A good place to have some fast food Japanese style. We had a teriyaki beef and chicken combination bowl and a chicken ramen with tomato. Both tested great and authentic. I dinged off a star because it is not accepting credit cards at the store at the moment. Kind of inconvenient because of this limitation. However, I recommend its food and taste.
