This used to be THE place to get donuts in Newbury, now its the absolute worst. Just got home and there's literally only 2 things I actually asked for and they're smashed by two much larger donuts I didn't ask for. The new employees hate their job, its very clear. The price of a non essential items like a donut is too high for BS service and not even getting what you're asking for. Try to do something nice for family and get a treat, only to find their treats aren't there and the 2 that are were ruined. It's very simple, if you hate your job then find another. Customers shouldn't have to suffer cuz you're miserable. I wish the owners would come back.

We decided to stop at a popular burger place and needed coffee on our way to LAX. I searched coffee near by and came across a café. As we were parking I noticed Star Donuts. I figured we could get our coffee and a sweet treat for the price of just the coffee at the café. Good decision. We got two small coffees, a cruller, a cinnamon roll and an apple fritter for just under $15. The fritter and the cinnamon roll were a good size. My husband ate the cruller, said it was good, light and fluffy not overly sweet. The cinnamon roll was delicious, light airy and I think it has toasted coconut on the outside. The black coffee was went well with both. Haven't tasted the fritter yet but I am very hopeful. So if you are in the area and need a coffee and a sweet treat I highly suggest you stop here.

I informed the employee there was a fly on one of her donuts and she just shrugged.
This place used to be arguably one of the best donut shops in the conejo valley. Over the last few years, the old couple that used to run this place have disappeared, and the new employees do not care about their food, their service, or the quality. The prices have jumped again, the sandwiches are lackluster and now there are insects are on the donuts. Eat here at your own risk.

The only place around us that consistently has French crullers. Best service is from the owners, they always throw in a handful of donut holes as extras. The employees can be hit and miss.

Just went today for donuts and was disappointed, the server was not friendly. This used to be my favorite place to go and they were always awesome people I t here plus they would always give you a few extra like donut holes if you spent over $10… not anymore. The server clearly just wanted to be done, she rolled her eyes at me when she misunderstood what I was asking for. So disappointed

I went in expecting the basic classics and instead had a beautiful yeasty tigertail that was double sized. An unreal buttermilk and a perfect French Krueller.
I thought do I do a review on the neighborhood donut shop. But honestly the new product is so unbelievably good I just had to. Go. Now and see if you agree. Enjoy

I really wanted to like this place. I went to purchase donuts for two different offices. I asked the owner for 2 separate boxes and when she put all donuts in 1 box, I asked again for her to put them into 2 separate boxes. She looked at me confused and I said, “I’ll pay for the extra box, I can’t take them all in 1 box.” So she proceeded & charged me $3 extra for the box. On top of that she was being super rude to her employee. The Employee mentioned that this was her 2nd day at the job & she’s still learning. I cannot stand RUDE & cheap employers!
