We have been going here regularly for years since they opened. It’s a great place for date night.

The owner of the establishment is extremely friendly. The food was incredible and should be tried by everybody. They were very accommodating in their suggestions of mixing the different broths. I highly recommend going to taboo Shabu.

Very sterile atmosphere. I think it’s one of those kinds of places that acts like it’s introducing hot pot to a bunch of white people in the Midwest for the first time, as if a solid fifth of the conejo valley area isn’t Asian. Takes the social aspect out of hot pot by giving everyone their own hot pot and heating element.
The food itself is fine enough, I mean you’re cooking it yourself so half of it’s on you, and I already knew how to do hot pot so I was fine in that regard.
Overall, if you wanna turn what would usually be a social thing of stirring some meat and veggies into a pot into a weirdly patronizing experience with some dude over explaining to you how to boil meat, go for it. There’s nothing that really hits the spot for hot pot in the area beside it though, so we kinda just have to live with it.

Food was excellent. Service superb. My 6 year old might have loved it more than I did. Which is saying something. Handled our party of 9 perfectly.

Mostly hotpot with variety of veggies and your choice of meat and noodles. Service is good by sam. Im just not into the way of seating arrangements. I was more hoping of tables and chairs .

Would be better if there are more broth choices, other than that, the various meat options and the fresh veggie plate are above average

I was looking for a sushi place and came here. It was not what I thought it would be. It is quite different and that was good. I was tired of the same old thing and needed a change up - and this place filled that need. Everything about it was unique. You sit at a big bar and cook your own food at the counter. The quality of the food was wonderful (cant hide raw food quality) and everything tasted great. The counter person was wonderful as well. The only problem I had was starting the dinner before taking pictures.
