Post pandemic excellence! So glad they still have the original format with generous, perfectly prepared food, and clean spacious environment.

I work Nextdoor at barre3 and I’m so grateful for The Alamo! The people there are always absolutely lovey and the food is amazing and so quick! The portions - fantastic, salsa - perfection, I love everything about this place! Must go!

My husband loves coming here for brunch, menudo with the pig skin is delicious and his all time favorite. I personally love the atmosphere, very welcoming and the workers are kind and attentive. You are greeted like you've just entered into abuelitas home and I swear you can see the happiness in the costumers as they enjoy the food and company. I recommend it, although it is a bit pricey. We will never stop coming here 🥰

This is one of those small family-run spots where everything feels made with love. I ordered the carne asada burrito and it was stuffed and flavorful. The salsa bar has homemade options that really add a kick. There’s limited seating inside but takeout is quick and reliable. The prices haven’t jumped like everywhere else, either

We eat in and take out fairly often, the Alamo has some incredibly tasty food and excellent customer service.

One of my many favorites is the Chili Colorado burrito, picture attached. Very high quality with plenty of meat. Highly recommend!

My lunch at Alamo reminded me of growing up in the Midwest, and that's not a good thing.

Now, I will say right away that the server was incredibly nice and attentive. Couldn't have asked for anything more. And the habanero salsa I liked quite a bit (no idea if that was made in-house or not).

But the chipotle enchiladas... Yikes. I expected a red sauce along the lines of canned chipotles in adobo, or at the very least, a red sauce. The enchiladas arrived covered in a cream-based, almost mayonnaise-like chipotle sauce. Add on top of that cheese and sour cream, and the dish was just so incredibly rich with dairy it barely felt like enchiladas.

Maybe I picked a bad dish, but a dish composed like that, in my book, says a lot. With so many amazing Mexican options in Southern California, I won't be hurrying back to The Alamo.

I’ve been eating at Alamo for years. While their food is not the best Mexican food I’ve eaten in restaurants, they are some of the best Mexican food in the area. Their beans and rice are very good. While I typically find myself leaving the beans and rice untouched at most restaurants, as I’d rather get full on tastier things like tacos and tamales, etc, I tend to eat most of them here. Their carnitas are very good, but I tried their cochinita tacos for the first time recently and was thoroughly amazed. The chipotle chicken plate is really good and my usual go to, that is until I tried the cochinita taco. My family usually gets various tacos and tamales and always enjoy it. Their salsa and chips are great, which is usually the sign of a good Mexican restaurant. It’s one of the few places we eat where we never have complaints.

Here visiting friends got in early so I decided to stop for lunch alone. First trip there was around lunch time. Food was good service was good. After meeting with family they tell me about this place I’m like yeah I tried it. It was good let’s go so me and godmother went. HORRIBLE CHOICE. We were waited on by MIGUEL. He approached the table VERY RUDE. LIKE WHAT DO YOU WANT. WHAT KIND NO SUGGESTION NO OFFERING NOTHING. So I ask him is he in a bad mood does he need a minute he rolled his eyes at me. The rest of our visit MIGUEL CONTINUED TO THROW OUT RACIST COMMENTS. LIKE YOU WANNA MARGARITA SHE GONE BUY IT CAUSE YOU HER SLAVE. Yes I’m a black woman and my god mom is Caucasian who gives a damn. We don’t. 35 years of going places with her I HAVE NEVER been treated as poorly as MIGUEL TREATED US BOTH. THE SLAVE, Black jokes, went on so long I lost my appetite and upset my godmother as I told her let’s go she didn’t even get to get her dessert as we both were in tears. Good food MIGUEL SHOULD PRAY HE DOESNT GET THE TREAT HE GAVE TO US ITS HURTFUL. THANKS FOR READING GOD BLESS. FYI BETTER SERVICE AT TO GO WINDOW HAD TO GET MOM WHAT SHE MISSED DUE MIGUEL AND HIS UNJUST TREATMENT.
