It's a bunch of mexicans selling BBQ, it's honestly my fault for not leaving immediately.

We had the beef rib/pork rib combo. The ribs were out of this world! They were incredible with or without the sauce. The Cole slaw was fresh, but needed lots of salt and pepper. Will go again, loved this place!

What a great local historic place to enjoy traditional bbq SoCal style. TriTip, ribs, sides great seating all served up with a dose of history. Love this place. It is lost in time and a favorote.

Updated menu for recent prices. Overall service was friendly. The trip was delicious and sliced thin, which is great for sandwiches. I got 1 lb of that to go. Also got a manly man pulled pork sandwich, which was good but nothing special. The coleslaw and chili beans were tasty. I will be back for sure to get more tri tip and try out the pork/beef ribs. Fyi, parking is difficult. The side of the street is about all you got. There is one spot to pull into, but it was already taken.

I was hoping for more since it was a recommendation. 1st I want to say the service is incredible. Very nice & helpful staff. The place was new to us and they let us try somethings before we ordered. Truly generous! The meats are sliced thinly for the sandwiches which wasn't ideal. A nice chicken or tri tip sandwich should be nice hefty pieces. The green salad was fresh. Coleslaw needed a little more flavor. Hot links were good! The beef rib & babyback rib with Bbq sauce should add flavor but shouldn't be used to make the meat taste good IMO. It's a little shack with picnic tables.

The tri-tip and sides were all good, the bread needs some attention , this place needs some maintenance, better lighting inside, bathroom was run down, and the flies were out in numbers around the benches.

By far, this is THEE BEST TRITIP SANDWICH! I drive 40 minutes to get this sandwich and it IS worth the drive! The meat is just right and very lean! The service is always friendly and quick! This is a must go to place while in Thousand Oaks!
