Ordered a tri tip sandwich for lunch. The meat used seems more like a top round used for roast beef. It did not have the steak texture or flavor of tri tip. The meat was exceptionally salty and lacked any barbecue or smoke flavor. The Cole slaw seemed like a precut mix from a bag. It had no flavor and was very dry. Likewise the baked beans seemed like a canned product warmed up. Overall not what I was hoping for.

By far, this is THEE BEST TRITIP SANDWICH! I drive 40 minutes to get this sandwich and it IS worth the drive! The meat is just right and very lean! The service is always friendly and quick! This is a must go to place while in Thousand Oaks!

5 stars!!! I will be back!! I don't live in the area, but I definitely plan to stop here again when I'm back. The meat is the best cooked and quality I've ever had, comparing from many places coast to coast. The setting might seem a bit intimidating, but don't let that fool you. It's WAY worth it! From the beans, to the bread, to the macaroni salad, to the pork ribs, to the tri tip, every single thing was perfect. I highly recommend!!

Coming here for the first time, parking is very limited, and the outside is not most inviting. Give this place a chance and you won't be disappointed. I am a big fan of some SoCal BBQ, but I have always hated the texture of big slabs of chicken and trip-tip meat. I went on a limb and ordered the chicken sandwich. To my surprise, it was thin sliced and made right in front of me. The service was quick and smooth. It made for the best bbq chicken sandwich I have ever had. The beans, bread, and bbq sauce were also amazing and made for a perfect lunch stop. Personally, the potato salad wasn't as good as I had hoped, but everything else made up for it. I will be frequenting this place as often as possible, hoping to try even more items on the menu.

One of the best BBQ places I've ever been to in my life. Such good quality and such a good vibe. The service is good too as they're very friendly and accommodating. The prices are actually pretty good too as it's reasonable for the food u get. The best part about this place tho is how good the food is. When u taste that quality, you know it's the real deal. The taste is truly 10/10 and it's special. It's so special because it's a small little place yet it's packs the quality of a massive restaurant. I was so disappointed after reading reviews on here. I bought a rack each of pork and beef for a special occasion. The beef was burnt to a crisp. It was charred and inedible. The pork was better but not great. The bbq sauce was sweet baby rays. So that is the one star.
