We love Luna Blu. We've been coming here for at least 5 years and they never disappoint. The staff are friendly and welcome us back every time we dine there. The view of The City and the bay are gorgeous. The food is terrific and very consistent in its taste and presentation. The owners ( a couple he is the Chef and she runs the front of the house) are super kind but also exceptional restauranteurs. And above all that are the profiteroles. They are amazing. In short it's a great local restaurant!

We sat at a lovely table right on the water, enjoying the evening light and the city views in the distance. The calamari was terrific and the sea bass was rich and comforting. The bolognese was just as expected, in a good way. The cannoli lasted about 3 minutes.

Our experience for dinner this evening was exceptional. We arrived and were so welcomed. We had a beautiful table overlooking the bay and the harbor.  The menu was just so unique and we had beautiful soups and appetizers and both vegetarian and seafood entrées. Cocktails were beautifully presented and the staff was so kind and generous. We had such a fabulous evening.

Calamari for $22 really was disappointing, very dry and chewy, mostly rings, good dipping sauce helped but not enough. Pasta with dungness crab was also disappointing; no real pieces of crab meat, just a cream sauce made with crab meat over a dark colored noodle pasta that was ok but also not great, Tuna tartare was good and Bolognese pasta was good too but not great. The view of the boats and the SF skyline and nice Tiburon ambience makes up for the expensive but somewhat underwhelming food.
Beautiful views, great food, small little stylish spot. Very glad we came here for date night!

We had a fabulous celebration dinner at an outside table. Crystal and our waiter and the rest of the team were incredibly welcoming and helped make our evening very special. We all enjoyed our meals including the eggplant parmesan, risotto with shrimp and salmon piccata. Highly recommend!

The only drawback was the mocktail — terrible. Everything else — the greeting, pacing, choices, food — all contributed to a lovely experience.

We had dinner with reservations (6:15p) last night , 3 adults with 2 kids. They sat us at the most ridiculous huge tree stump / thick wood table ,in the middle of the restaurant /balcony so high that we had to be propped up with seat pillows and kids were eating standing or sitting on our lap. The food was very good, but we were uncomfortable. The waiter did not pour our water or wine. My suggestion: remove the ridiculous tree stump table.. and train waiters to be more attentive to the customers service. In addition the location of the tree stump table being in the middle was busy with traffic both from servers and customers.
