Great bartender!
This is a great bar. The vibes are incredibly chill, and you can hear yourself think while having a signature cocktail with friends. It was the best choice for a chill meet up for my birthday. I can't recommend enough.

Really chill spot. They have a bunch of board games and books for patrons. The seating and atmosphere is really comfortable and inviting. It was pretty quiet when we went on a Wednesday night, but it was still a great place to hang out with friends.
I had it w/o alcohol, but the How the West Was Won was really good.
Parking: We arrived during a low-traffic time, and the restaurant nextdoor was closed, so there was plenty of space in the back-door parking; but it's a small lot, so it might be a bit difficult during busier times.

Catcher in the Rye has been on my to-do list for a while, and I was thrilled to finally cross it off while meeting some Yelp friends. I adore the vibe of this place, especially the cozy reading corner, which attracts book lovers. Our bartender, Reyna, was attentive, kind, and offered excellent drink recommendations.
They are open from 5 pm to midnight on weekdays and 2 am on weekends, with street parking or a small back lot available.
They also have happy hour every single day which is a plus! I tried the sliders that had a quail egg on top and they were delicious.

Went in for the first time on a Friday night around 10pm and had a great date night. Food, drinks and service were 10/10. We’ll definitely be coming back.

A decorated literature themed bar with well-made drinks and decent food. Street parking on a Saturday night was easy. It's a good spot for a private party, but for a fun night out this place seemed quiet and empty otherwise. Not a cheap place to buy drinks, especially when charged $7 for Diet Coke, and another $7 for a refill. I assume it was a mistake, but it bemuses me to pay a cocktail price for soda.

Popped in for Dinner since it’s walking distance from my house. It was empty and sad inside. Service was okay nothing great did not ask if I wanted another beer as it was empty through half my meal. Food and beer Menu was lacking. Sliders were good although one of the 3 had a different bun like they ran out and just used white bread? I wouldn’t come back here unless it changed drastically, it has potential.

I was at this place in it’s prime years ago and this is a sad shell of what it used to be. Place was almost dead, had to order from the bar. House wines are pathetic. The food was embarrassing, $3 to add veggies to a quesadilla? The grilled cheese they are known for came out looking nothing like it once did. Tomato soup was not cold- it was freezing. Blend flavors. Service was the real low point though. Rude and bothered girls at the bar, unhelpful and all around made the experience terrible. What a shame knowing this was once our neighborhood hotspot
