Forman's Whiskey Tavern

It's often fairly crowded in the evenings and the wait to order at the bar can be longer than desirable. But they have a pretty awesome whiskey selection and make some good old fashions. The food can be pretty good as well.

Fun environment with a great back patio. Their burger is ranked #7/100 in LA and their chicken sliders and fries were phenomenal. I wish I lived closer!

Awesome drinking hole. Cozy vibes and excellent cocktails. 'The Huntsman' is perfect. Staff is mostly friendly, though the main bar gets busy, and they will ignore you until they catch up.

Pretty busy but looks like they make amazing burgers. We just had drinks at a community table. Drinks were good but not outstanding. Cool inside, with some funny art if you bother to examine it. I’m going back for the full treatment.

The food is a hit and miss, sometimes big portions or mini, like the steak salad I ordered this past week. The bartenders, some are nice The others like they hate their job and with am attitude. The atmosphere is nice, that's the best thing of the place.

A busy happy hour was my introduction to Forman’s. Thursday, 5 PM, an attractive crowd brought the bright spacious room to life. I was lucky to find a stool at the bar, where 3 or 4 servers were going full-tilt since all ordering goes through them. Comfy-looking booths lined the opposite wall, and high, narrow tables for standing patrons took up the middle area. Outdoor seating in front and back. The happy hour Freshest Margarita tasted a little off, or perhaps needed more sweetening. Couldn’t go wrong with a Scrimshaw Pilsner at HH price. Good selection on tap for more educated palates. Huge array of whiskeys. Fish tacos, with lightly breaded cod, diced mango and cilantro dressing were fantastic. I saw a plate of plump wings that looked exceptional. In spite of being under some pressure, the bartenders were cordial and considerate to this newcomer, who will definitely be returning.

Excellent food, Really good list of liquor (whiskey bourbon). Really enjoyed the outdoor patio atmosphere. Didnt like that dogs are allowed inside. The service is a bit odd, you had to go order at the bar and some of the order didnt make it so we had to follow up on it. I would recommend it, just bring some patience with you.

Kid-friendliness: It is family friendly! Saw groups of families enjoying the venue.
