I’ve got to give credit where it’s due — Yunomi in Toluca Lake is killing it. From the moment you sit down at the bar, the energy’s just right. The staff moves quick, but you never feel rushed, and every roll hits fresh.
The Yunomi Special is a must — spicy albacore, shrimp tempura, a little crunch, and that truffle soy… unreal. Blue Crab, Soft Shell Crab, Negi Toro — they’re all solid. Even the crispy rice apps are worth the trip on their own.
It’s the kind of place you can pop in for a quick bite or make a night of it. Everything’s clean, organized, and dialed in — down to the bag hooks under the counter.
Fresh fish, great flavors, no wasted time. If you’re anywhere near Toluca Lake, this spot’s an easy yes.

Really cool spot! The atmosphere is great and there’s plenty of space between seats, which makes it comfortable even when it’s busy. Customer service was friendly and attentive. One highlight for sure: the rock shrimp tempura — absolutely amazing!
The rest of the food wasn’t quite as flavorful as some other handroll places, but I believe they’re still improving since it’s a newer spot. They have a solid waitlist system and a good selection of sake and beer. Prices are decent too.
Just a heads up — they don’t carry change for cash, which can be a bit inconvenient. Hopefully that gets sorted in the future. Overall, a good experience and worth checking out!

I really enjoyed my experience at Younomi hand roll. The food was delicious overall, and I loved the modern, minimalist design of the place. I ordered four rolls — all were great except for the shrimp tempura, which was a bit disappointing.
One highlight was the impressive selection of sake — definitely a plus for sake lovers!
The only downside was at the end when we tried to pay: the server told us they don’t have change for $200 bills and advised us to come with a card next time. That was a bit inconvenient.

wanted to really try this place as my last meal in LA however upon arrival, we joined the waitlist which said “estimated 5 mins” however when we asked a server how long it’d actually take they said it’d be around 10-15. We ended up waiting an hour and never got a text back from the yelp waitlist or a call from the restaurant.
I saw that this place was really good. Disappointing that I wasn’t able to try it.

I came here for lunch with a friend and have mixed feelings. I prefer the classic temaki (cone-shaped hand-roll) but I don't mind trying new things. However, these were really hard to eat without making a mess. It was more like a miniature uncut sushi roll, so when you picked it up the filling just fell out the other end. It tasted okay but nothing special, especially when you consider the price. We spent over $100 for both of us to eat and I left hungry.
The restaurant was nice looking but extremely loud and hard to hear my friend who was sitting right next to me. The service was okay but they missed something we ordered, probably because they couldn't hear us. I'm giving it 4/5 stars because I only tried it once and at least it didn't make me sick.

Yunomi is an amazing spot to grab fresh made handrolls. Be sure to join the waitlist otherwise you may be waiting a minute at peak times. Everything here is great and delicious, they even give you a timer for your green tea to steep properly. My only gripe is in their ratio, they are just a but heavy on their rice to fish ratio. You cant miss the Albacore on crispy rice, its Kanye’s favorite. My favorites are the negitoro and softshell crab. The yunomi special is also great, but recommend starting with this as it is very rich, but delicious. Cant recommend this place enough, please fill your tummy until they know you.

Love this place! The freshest and creative selection of handrolls. Modern interior design, attentive and timely service, friendly engaging staff, nice selection of sake and Asian beers. The background music selection, architecture, decorations, and setup, gives it an upscale Westside vibe to the whole experience.
