Definitely worth a visit. Delicious, quality food, with treehouse surroundings, unfortunately with the price tag to match. Worth it though for the splurge.

Incredibly beautiful relaxing experience. Great sister lunch date spot.
Felt like I was far away and in a treehouse.

Wheelchair accessibility: Limited! But accessible! There’s a terrace that’s accessible but there are other levels that require stairs

The Caulifornia pizza (not a typo) was really good. The omelet was pretty good. The 2 piece bread that came with it was even better than the actual omelet. The cakes were a bit dry though. The cafe doesn't put any music on so it was a nice change. The ambience matched the quiet and peaceful views.

The atmosphere in the mountains is nice, so it's a good place to go for a change of mood. If you go without a reservation on the weekend, you may have to wait an hour.
Valet parking costs $7. Do it on the side of the road nearby.

We eat Pizza Egg Benedict Cream Chowder Soup often.

Gorgeous and immersive experience lunching amongst the trees and mountains! We loved this tree house vibe restaurant with great quick service, a really good matcha oat latte, and the lobster and pastrami sandwich was amazing! Totally work driving here :)

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s just for the vibes, the service and food are not good.
We made reservations to this spot about 3 months ago to celebrate my friend‘s birthday. While we were checking in, the hostess asked us if we were only going to be there for an hour because there was a private party in the same area and we couldn’t be there at the same time. We hadn’t even sat down yet, and we were already being rushed. Because we wanted to have a full 90 minutes, we decided not take the spot that we specifically reserved for this day.
Half of our food arrived, and the other half about 10 minutes later. We waited so we can all eat together, the food got cold.
I ordered the lemon ricotta and blueberry pancakes (Daddy’s pancakes), there was no lemon or ricotta and probably about 4-6 blueberries in the middle. Just regular pancakes.
Overall, I would go back only for a coffee and the views.

A great place for breakfast / brunch .
The wait is worth it and the views and location even more so .
The long lines out side the place are very justified!

I was looking forward to a nice brunch here, but the experience was anything but. After waiting over an hour, despite being told multiple times our table was ‘almost ready’, they finally said our table was ready, only to then give it to another group. When we asked why, we were threatened with a call to the police for simply wanting an explanation. This treatment was not only unprofessional but felt quite hostile. I hope this feedback encourages the management to handle wait times and guest interactions better.

Terrible management—extremely rude and irresponsible. I found hair in my food, and they didn’t even offer an apology!

This restaurant intentionally gives away your reservation to other people, who are persian and the manager’s friend. We were waiting for one hour for our table, and then we realized he gave away our table to another group who apparently was his friend.

When we tried to talk to the manager, he threatened us to call the police, with no apology and even trying to make it work for us.

Do not come to this place. Worst experience ever.

Cafe on 27 in Topanga is truly a hidden gem, tucked away in the hills with a vibe that’s all about rustic charm and relaxation. I went in for brunch, and it felt like a little getaway in the heart of nature. The whole experience was a breath of fresh air – quite literally!

The food was delicious and hit that perfect balance between hearty and fresh. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of crispy bacon, fresh berries, and a drizzle of syrup, and it was exactly what I needed. The pancake was fluffy with just the right amount of chocolate, and the bacon had that ideal crispiness that added a savory touch to the meal. The fresh fruit was a lovely touch and tasted as if it was just picked.

As for the ambiance, the outdoor seating area is a dream. You’re surrounded by trees, sunlight filtering through, and that chill Topanga vibe that makes you want to stay all day. The casual, boho decor fits the setting perfectly and adds to the sense of relaxation. It’s easy to see why locals and visitors alike are drawn to this spot – it feels like a little sanctuary.

The service was friendly and laid-back, making the experience even better. No rush, just easygoing hospitality that makes you feel right at home.

Pro tip: Come early and grab a spot outside. You’ll get to enjoy your food with a view and soak in the Topanga magic.

Cafe on 27 is a must-visit if you’re in the area or just looking for a unique dining experience in the hills. Highly recommend it for a weekend brunch escape! ???
