“Make a trip out of it, trust me :) Topanga Canyon itself is a magical place and the Canyon Bakery is a part of its charm. This place has absolutely delicious sweet & savory baked goods and breads, a warm, welcoming energy and a great place to sit and enjoy your treats. From the talented baker behind the window, a wonderful person taking your orders, Dave greeting and helping you decide what treat will hit your fancy for the morning and locals & visitors alike- everyone there is lovely. The Canyon Bakery is only open Sunday 9- sell out (and they will!) and for pickups on Friday (order by Monday), and well worth a making it a destination for either (or both to be honest) of those days!As a regular topanga visitor, the canyon bakery had been high on my list to try and I’ll be back next Sunday and most going forward! I had their cinnamon roll which came to me warm, I was completely surprised & delighted, and an egg potato cheese tart w/salad (and they kept great as leftovers!). I loved both and looking forward to trying more!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options!Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options availableParking: Easy, well available parking”
“Wonderful food and Desserts. The jazz music was amazing, famous special guest Jazz musician, Gregg Karukas and band performed. The service was great, wait staff were on it and so friendly. This is a place to experience.”
“I came here for the Huevos Ranchos, and they did not disappoint. Delicious flavors and eggs cook perfectly. Enjoyed with a Flat white. Service very friendly and welcoming. Would come back again.”
“I love Adriana's business. Her food is so good and she has an amazing energy and presence in the canyon. I moved here two years ago and during my first week I went to her taco pop up business twice. Now I'm a regular. Her taco medicine is an important part of the Topanga community.”
“Cute spot for a roadside pitstop in Topanga. The place was busy, with a range of groups including families and dates. We had lunch and ordered two personal (6 inch) pizzas and some fries. The fries were delish and the pizza was good too. The decor added to the atmosphere and was funky and upbeat. I liked the disco balls and light fixtures. There’s seating both indoors and on the patio. Our food was made-to order and didn’t take too long to arrive. We would eat here again when in the area.Parking: The parking lot was busy, slightly tight, and shared with other businesses in the complex, but still had a few choices of spots available”
“Great customer service and atmosphere! The breakfast wrap was delicious as well as the poppy bagel toasted with cream cheese. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quaint little cafe to relax and enjoy some good food.”
“Since the staff change about 6 to 9 months ago, this place is excellent! Positive attitude from everyone and the quality of the sandwiches have risen to Jersey Mike's standards. Our office orders from there at least once a week, if not more. Excellent!”
“Great ambiance and beautiful place! The food was good but not the best. The sea bass was overcooked and not so tasty. However, my friend got the steak, I tried it and it was great! So tasty and delicious! I forgot to take a picture of the appetizer, which was so good (we got the mushroom and cheese plate). The desserts were good as well. And that picture from the beautiful chandelier above our table, but in the picture, it looks like...! ?”
“Great, classic, California Pizza Kitchen location.Nothing better or worse than an average CPK, but inside the mall so convenient stop during/at the end of a long day of shopping. Strangely enough, their West Coast Burger is actually amazing, but their pizza and pasta options are solid too”
“Great tasting food, service was attentive, atmosphere/decor was great. We were told to order more food than we thought necessary, by the time we got the last dish - we couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, they packed it up in such a small container that you could tell half of the curry was thrown out! Recommend to use a bigger container!”
“One popular spot known for its delicious borekas in Los Angeles is "Borekas Sephardic Pastries" in Sherman Oaks. They offer a variety of flavors and are well-regarded by locals and visitors alike. It's worth giving them a try if you're in the area!”
“This was a good spot for a light lunch on a sunny afternoon. We tried the trio and received the halibut, rockfish, and striped bass. The flavors paired with the halibut were light and refreshing. The rockfish was our favorite - great texture and flavor. The housemade za'atar blend paired with the striped bass was tasty but unfortunately too salty. I think I would've really enjoyed it if there was less salt. Also ordered the vegan caesar and loved it! Delicious dressing and the furikake on top was a great touch.”
“Awsome adress for having a good time! The whole team is doing an excellent job in hospitality. Flexible and friendly they take care of you and give smart advise on wines. Furthermore, the food is not just excellent. The chef learned his job in Italy and has managed to reproduce with local products a real distinguished cooking experience which is realy outstanding in taste and quality. Please go on like this. We will come back!”
“The best spot for lunch; bustling with energy, and despite the crowd, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles. The crispy chicken sandwich was standout, with just the right crunch and a tangy sauce that elevated it beyond the ordinary. It’s a place where the food, service, and ambiance come together to create a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu.”
“Came back to Ocean Park Blvd to try this place and it did not disappoint! We ended up getting the Gravlax Works (on everything bagel) and an Onion bagel with jalapeño cream cheese, to compare to Layla Bagels next door. Overall really delicious - the gravlax works was perfect and light, the salmon was amazing - perfect flavors! I definitely prefer this one a bit more. And for the other bagel, the jalapeño cream cheese was a nice touch ,though when comparing to the basic bagel we got from Layla's, the schmear was a little less flavored. The line moved quickly and the workers were all nice! Can't wait to come back to try the pastries and also grab a loaf or two to go!! :) *Note that Jyan Isaac Bread and Layla Bagels seem pretty strict on their outdoor seating, reserving the seats in front of their restaurants for customers only. The manager here came out a handful of times to ask Layla customers to leave!”
“Always an enjoyable experience. Greeted warmly, seated, ordered. Menu is something for everyone done right. Good runners always more than pleasant. Busy evening and our waitress was a busy lady. Management sent another more than capable body to relieve that jam, which was really appreciated. Good great, 3 of us shared appetizers, a delicious large steak, and the fish special. All left satisfied with leftover steak”
“I showed up late so I didn't get to try everything, but the shrimp dumplings were a joy! It's dark as hell in there so if you're over 30, take a seeing-eye friend as your dining companion. Gorgeous, decor and the music finished out the mood. The parking garage that offers valet is just steps away, so don't let the location deter you. Great choice for a date.”
“Love this hidden gem. Great for outdoor dining. I am not a hummus guy but the hummus starter might have changed my mind, it’s a must try. The food is delicious, fresh off the grill. The veggies were perfectly cooked and tasty. The lamb chops were pretty good.”
“Great small and delicious Japanese Restaurant in the corner of the Fairmont Hotel! The most amazing and fresh fish. Under your eyes rolled sushi and brilliant side dishes, like miso soup, edamame and Japanese appetizers. A place to go and recommend to everybody.”
“They were out of the duck when I went which was disappointing and everything else we got was good but nothing crazy. Maybe the Michelin star is for the duck, but otherwise, I don't see it. Get more ducks!”
“It was our 1st time there. Smaller than it looks in pics so I'd say it's a quaint place. Only a couple beer choices but decent amount of wine choices. The food is shareable which I prefer. The salads were sooo good! The 2 pizzas were sooo tasty. The bread with butter is light & airy. Sauces for the pizza crusts were a bonus.Parking: Next door lot is $25 for about 2 hours”
“Eggs bacon and waffles were spectacular! Waffles stands out by being light, fluffy and undeniably the best waffles I have ever had. I asked to separate waffles from eggs and bacon and think this is the way to go! French toast, burrito were also very good. Only drawback was it was a bit on the expensive side for breakfast - 30/pp. I guess you pay for quality!!”
“Came here with a large group and ordered off the family style prix fixe menu and everything was delicious - I'll be thinking about that kugel and the beet salad for a LONG time.”
“Fia Steak Restaurant provided an unforgettable dining experience that surpassed all expectations. From the warm and knowledgeable staff to the exquisite culinary offerings, every aspect of the evening was exceptional. The appetizers, including the crunchy tuna cigars, hamachi crudo, and the newly introduced kingfish crudo, tantalized the taste buds with their harmonious flavor combinations. The steak tartare, with its spicy kick, was a standout dish, setting the stage for the incredible entrees to follow. The truffle cavatelli was a personal favorite, but the oxtail agnolotti stole the show with its rich wine and meat sauce, leaving a lasting impression as one of the most remarkable pasta dishes ever tasted. The bone-in ribeye, cooked to perfection and accompanied by dauphinois gratin of potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus, showcased the restaurant's mastery of steak. Additionally, the A5 Wagyu, a kitchen recommendation, was a delectable indulgence.Dessert was the perfect conclusion to an extraordinary meal, with the chocolate soufflé and sticky toffee pudding topped with vanilla ice cream providing a sweet finale. Fia Steak Restaurant has set the bar exceptionally high with its unparalleled hospitality, service, and culinary quality. This dining experience was truly magical, THANK YOU, Fia Steak!”
“Probably my favorite place to eat. The food is delicious, creative, and beautiful to look at. The staff are professional and friendly. I've been following the chef for close to twenty years now, from Chiba to Asanebo to his own restaurant, and he's destined to become a name in the sushi business. Excellent fish. Great taste. Outstanding menu, both in terms of selection and preparation. A must-visit restaurant for the sushi lover who wants to see some new ideas.”
“One of my favorite LA restaurants. The food is always good, regardless of what night of the week or weekend you go there. The oxtail dumplings, snap peas, octopus skewers, and the eggplants are my favorite small dishes and the ribeye and the whole snapper are the favorite mains. The only food item that I had and did not like was the skirt steak. It had no flavor whatsoever.Top it all off with the strawberry custard and the chocolate bar for dessert.”
“Enchanting, fresh, sustainable, dynamic, delicious... how many lovely things could I say about the Dudley Market.Tucked away from the calamity of Venice, this is an establishment that provides truly sustainably sourced seafood, natural wine, and at atmosphere that you simply don't ever want to leave. The type of restaurant you want to visit for every special occasion, just so you have an excuse to come back.Be sure to begin by grabbing a bottle of natural wine, followed by oyster, crudo, and whatever their lovely & knowledgable staff recommends.I can't wait to come back here.”
“I ventured with my wife for a very early Valentine's dinner recently. This sushi speak easy has been on my to do list for a long time and I'm pleased we were able to visit this location. The entire staff was amazing, you're definitely here to drop some bills but have a great time. You immediately feel welcomed in this cozy setting , there were only 6 of us for our seating and the staff knew all our names and the reason why we decided to spend the night for dinner to treat ourselves for omakase. We were invited to partake in some pre-dinner cocktails and canapes. The reservations will note this is optional. I strongly suggest attending this and mingling with the staff and your guests because you're going to spend probably at least 2 hours with these folks experiencing top quality sushi. I really enjoyed their spin on omakase and sushi. Of course you're getting really high quality ingredients here but the intentionality in every bite, the pacing of the night, and at least during our visit the banter between everyone made this experience extremely memorable. The flow of food is so well thought out and the chefs work as a team to tee up each bite. You can see them set up nigiri, 2-3 rounds ahead, and watching the process is absolutely mesmerizing. Each bite is well explained along with the ingredients, origin and processes of how each nigiri is built. The drinks options are also very appetizing they have options for whiskey flights, sake flights and can craft up some delicious cocktails and non alcoholic options. They also are very considerate of any dietary constraints. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my experience and would come back for a future special occasion.”
“Excellent food! Service is usually very good, but our last visit was extremely rushed. It made for an unpleasant experience. If they want guests to leave by 10 they should not except reservations after 8:30 PM. People should not be forced to eat fast at high prices.”

“I love this cafe so much, my favorite spot to hang in Topanga for the true canyon experience. So many interesting locals to meet and chat with. Claire, the owner is an angel! She is french and has brought the beautiful french cafe vibes but has combined them with the quirky, fun Topanga vibes. Get the breakfast burrito!Vegetarian options: Love all the veggie options!”
