“I’m so happy Froggy’s reopened - it’s always been my favorite patio in LA! I love all the hummingbirds and looking at nature - I feel I’m far away from the City/Valley - it’s so relaxing! The salmon tacos are awesome and freshly made guacamole doesn’t disappoint 👍🏻 The tortillas are lovingly made by hand and are fresh. One of the most soulful places in Los Angeles- great little bar and historic background. DONT go as I love the cozy authentic vibe - just kidding - I highly recommend this restaurant It would make a great venue for special occasions (this is unsolicited - I just can’t rave enough and want them to flourish- Covid was tough on them like many businesses) Lastly, everyone working there are so friendly and accommodating 5 stars ⭐️😄”

“We came here today, we’re only over from the uk for a few days so wanted somewhere extra special and oh my goodness what a beautiful place and what lovely waitresses! The food was amazing. It’s a magical place we will remember. The only thing that lets it down a little is the valet parking as we were knowingly double charged. It isn’t really necessary and was all a bit awkward, the service and energy of the Restaraunt sadly isn’t being replicated outside. Otherwise absolutely gorgeous we couldn’t recommend this place enough!”

“I’ve been to Felix multiple times over the years, and in general, I think it’s a fantastic restaurant with consistently high-quality food. That’s why this review is disappointing to write.

The last two pasta dishes I’ve ordered have been underwhelming. My previous visit, the carbonara fell short, and this time the cacio e pepe was even more disappointing.

The cacio e pepe was overwhelmingly peppery, lacked the rich, creamy Pecorino Romano flavor that defines the dish, and tasted like it had little to no cheese. It was nothing like a proper cacio e pepe should be. I had just returned from Italy a few weeks ago, where I ate authentic cacio e pepe at small local trattorias, so I know exactly how beautifully simple and balanced this dish can be. Unfortunately, Felix’s version completely missed the mark. Considering the restaurant’s reputation and premium prices, I expected much more.

To make matters worse, the service at the bar was disappointing. Not once during the meal did anyone ask how the food was or whether everything was okay. A simple check-in could have given us the opportunity to share our concerns while we were there.

I genuinely hope the team takes this feedback constructively because Felix is still a great restaurant overall, and I’ve had many excellent meals here. That’s exactly why these last two visits have been so surprising. I hope they address these issues and bring the pasta back to the standard that made Felix such a standout in the first place.”

“Went with my daughter Saturday night and David took amazing care of us! Outside seating set the mood for a wonderful meal from smalls to dessert. Great wine recommendation as well. Overheard David speak with bus staff in a very respectful manner which added to the experience. Highly recommend and will be back.”

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.”

“Force of Nature is one of the cutest little places I’ve ever stopped for a drink. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and effortlessly charming.

The rooftop terrace is the perfect mix of laid-back and cozy, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long, hot day. I especially loved the community table—it added so much character and made the space feel welcoming and connected.

The drinks were fantastic: strong enough to know they were crafted well, but perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The wines leaned on the fruitier side, which made them easy to enjoy without being overly sweet.

What really made the experience stand out, though, was the bartender, who also seemed to be the hostess and waitress. She was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made everyone feel at home. She had the kind of personality that makes you wish she’d sit down and have a drink with you.

The entire vibe of Force of Nature is relaxed, friendly, and unpretentious. It’s the kind of place where you intend to stop for one drink and end up staying for hours because you simply don’t want to leave. I can’t wait to come back.”
