La Chingona Tacos

Stumbled upon this place after we saw the other restaurants up the street were packed. Noticed the signs and made an abrupt stop. We didn’t know this is place was an actually restaurant and hesitant to go in. So glad we went in. Upon entering was a historic Spanish building that was an old Masonic lodge with art on the walk. Turned into a hallway to order and there was a lady making tortillas in the patio. There was a cute bar area too. We really enjoyed the patio, the vibe , and the Mexican breakfast. One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had. We unfortunately were the only patrons there. Don’t know why, I’m in love with this place! No need to go back to the other restaurants up the street. I think they close in winter. But I’m hoping they open back up 🤞🏾.

I’m so happy Froggy’s reopened - it’s always been my favorite patio in LA! I love all the hummingbirds and looking at nature - I feel I’m far away from the City/Valley - it’s so relaxing! The salmon tacos are awesome and freshly made guacamole doesn’t disappoint 👍🏻 The tortillas are lovingly made by hand and are fresh. One of the most soulful places in Los Angeles- great little bar and historic background. DONT go as I love the cozy authentic vibe - just kidding - I highly recommend this restaurant It would make a great venue for special occasions (this is unsolicited - I just can’t rave enough and want them to flourish- Covid was tough on them like many businesses) Lastly, everyone working there are so friendly and accommodating 5 stars ⭐️😄

This used to be froggies. The atmosphere can't be beat. The tacos are great. They are solely adding to the menu as they become more popular. Owners are lovely, and always on site.

Heel gezellig restaurant met lieve en attente eigenaar! Ze wil alles voor je doen om het je naar de zin te maken. Hou je niet van bonen in je taco, dan laat ze die eruit. Alles is vers en zelfgemaakt. En dat proef je! Zeker een aanrader na een lekkere dag aan t strand.

An easy place to miss, but you’ll be happy that you found it. The outside seating area is super nice and elevates the entire experience. The live music is also a great touch. Service is amazing and everyone is super friendly. I got three tacos; chicken, beef and pork. The chicken dry and just takes like chicken. Steak and pork are great though, good flavor and pretty tender. The pork has a great smokyness to it. The tortillas are surprisingly good; super soft, great corn flavor and hold up the way most corn tortillas don’t. The salsa is very good and spicy and the picked carrots and jalapeños are a great addition that add nice acidity to the tacos. Would definitely comeback here.

Great spot for a quick bite and a hang out. The vibes are warm & welcoming and the people are friendly in this old roadside shack. Visiting from Charleston south Carolina this location was far removed from the fish/taco spots of my home. The wild caught fish & chips was an excellent piece of fish. All in all a great mountain food experience
