Such a great eating experience. No frills, plain and good Indian food for indians and non-indians alike. It didnt feel super Americanized- was very tasty and cooked with care. I had their combo plate w gulab jamun, was sooo good. Wish I could have it again :) They had a Sambhar which was green, intetesting. Owner and man at front are super nice and helpful, no nonsense. The chicken biryani was so delicious and the garlic naan buttery and golden brown- such good prices and homey atmosphere. Its a long pending review for this place. I specifically want to write this review to talk about two items that I always order from this place. I have known and been to this place for several years now since I moved into to Torrance back in 2009. Small shop with constant moving crowd, plenty of to-go orders and service is quick. You get free tea and dont miss it, make sure you serve one for yourself when you are there for to-go or dining. Ok, I have been time and again ordering the 'Bhindi Masala' and the 'Shahi Paneer' forever now. When we are feeling like getting the curries from outside and doing the roti/paratha at home, we always prefer this option. My kids love the Shahi paneer and it is definitely one of the best you will have. It is flavorful, tasty and fresh. The Bhindi Masala is the best one I have had in any Indian restaurants period. Yes, it is little bit on the greasy side, but hey come on, once in a while trying to derail from 'healthy' options is Ok. I could eat this Bhindi Masala with roti, paratha, rice and just by itself too. I love it that much. The price has gone up in this place significantly in the recent years, but the quality has always been good.

This place used to be good. Now it seems to serves watered down something disguised as food. The picture says it all. That's supposed to be a one meat and two vegetable combo. The "one meat" is literally one small piece of meat.
