Wonderful is what the memories of this Gem are, but the current state is deteriorating, current owner doesn't want to make wurst in house anymore, although it was the best around. New Hungarian Wurst was too emulsified and seemed mass produced.Only thing I can comment on other than said is that the salt sticks are still delicious. And finding German/Hungarian help would be useful as many elders first spoken was such.

Traditional German food with a cannot go wrong sausage sampler. I enjoyed the wiener schnitzel, crispy fries, and preserved cabbage with hot mustard. Mouth watering food and imported ales & pilsners.

Don’t come here unless you want to be harassed by the manager named Lucena. This is my first time in the store and I didn’t know where things were at. So I go ask one of the guys working there and I had to keep asking him for help since no one else was available to ask for assistance. She rudely comes up to him and pulls him to the back while I was asking about their products. She comes up to me after and starts being very aggressive with me saying I know you know this person, he’s working and you need to stop following him around. I told her I’m not following him I need help with these products that I can’t read and she tells me yes you’re following him here and there and I said no I just need help and she rudely cuts me off and walks away saying yea yea. Then proceeded to follow me all over the store. That’s not how you’re supposed to treat your customers but they don’t care if they lose one. Very horrible costumer service. I will never come back and I hope others don’t waste their time or money at this hole in the wall with their rude management.

This place used to be our go-to spot for German food. They closed shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic struck, and we anxiously awaited their reopening. When they finally did, we went, expecting the same awesome food they had always served up. Wow, were we disappointed! First of all, there were considerably fewer offerings than before, there are also fewer side dishes, and you only get one now instead of the previous two, the two slices of buttered bread that used to be included are now only available at extra cost, they no longer offer gravy, no more soft drinks, and their once delicious sauerkraut is gone, replaced by a sweet kraut. Yes, SWEET! In addition, most, if not all the meals now cost more. I only hope this situation changes, or they will not last long and will have to close again. We will not be going back for a while, but I'm sure we'll give them another try some time in the future, just to see if there is an improvement.

For me its a historial landmark from Germany to the US. It has a nice food court where german food is served and you cant miss there pastry. Great bread and meats.

This place is obviously one of the coolest place in the neighborhood. Anytime I go there I am very satisfied. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they provide. You always win with this place. Warmly recommended.
