Our food was okay. We just moved from Maui so we were craving local food. The lady was super duper nice to everyone else but kinda short with us because I ordered the spare ribs she said she didn't have but it was the daily special and then she forgot our spam musubi we paid for so we had to drive back and get them after we called. She said she didn't charge me but I pointed out the two $2.50 charges on the receipt and she said I could either come back or she'd give me a credit for next time. Probably won't be a next time so we drove back after we ate in Alondra Park since home is about 40 minutes away. She gave me an extra spam musubi and a bottled drink.Spare ribs were super oily. Chicken was okay. Large portions. Paid Hawai'i prices - expensive. Maybe we'll try the Normandie location since the reviews seemed good.

The banana chocolate chip nut bread is amazing! Had some yesterday and this morning with my coffee. Got the mix plate with Kalbi and Chicken Katsu 10/10

I remember getting food here for the first time a while back, probably close to a year or so ago. The furikake chicken was AMAZING - so crunchy and glazed with a perfect mix of sweet and salty. The kalua pork and cabbage was tender and flavorful. The portions were beyond generous. I was so looking forward to having this meal again this weekend, but was extremely disappointed. The furikake chicken had hardly any glaze at all and the chicken itself was very difficult to eat because it was so fatty and hard to chew. The kalua pork and cabbage was dry and lacked seasoning. Portion sizes were still huge, but the quality of the food was not up to par. I'm thinking I caught them on an off day because this is not at all what I remembered of Aunty Maile's food. I was so bummed. I will definitely give them another try because their furikake chicken was unreal that first time, but I might wait a little while before I go back.

Got a chicken katsu Loco moco, damn is it a huge portion for a great price. It basically feeds almost 3 ppl with that size.I substituted the regular rice with chashu fried rice and that was great. Will come back to try other items.

A place that feels like home! The owner is nice and greets her regulars by first name making this place feel cozy and warm. My boyfriend got the Loco Moco which was gigantic and delicious! I got the Hawaiian poke which was fine. I felt like the tuna wasn't as fresh, buttery and pink as other places. Overall I'd stick to cooked foods here! We had a great experience and kind service.

I like their chicken karage and chicken wings. The karage has this sweet sauce on it and kind of reminds me of orange chicken and has furikake seasoning on it!

Everything here is delicious!! When ever we visit my sister's family in Torrance we always request to get take out from here and their food portions are huge so we order enough to eat family style. Some of our favorites are the furikake chicken and shrimp. And on the special days when they have kimchi fried rice we are especially lucky!! If you are in the area and are looking for some good food try this place out! You won't be disappointed!!

I found this place while scrolling around different cities in yelp, as I'm prone to do. I've had a couple different hawaiian restaurants (shootz is my fav so far). To be frank, I was a bit disappointed in not getting to try some of their standard desserts (mainly the guava variety). But the lady behind the register said that the chef needed a break from them, so I assume they must be popular! They did have cakes and bread pudding to offer, though. I just wasn't there for those. For what I did try: the Loco moco, and the combo plate of Katsu and Kahlua Pork. I will say: Beware of the messiness from the loco moco gravy! Even though I kept the bag straight and the bottom level, it still managed to spill out of the container and all over the bottom of the bag. It was flavorful, though. The egg and rice were made well, though I wished that the beef patty was cooked a bit less. There was no pinkness at all on the inside, and the edges on the outside were pretty tough, which was a bit of a bummer. Maybe if the patty was wider rather than thick? The Kahlua shredded pork was a nice consistency, but I do wish the cabbage was a little less soft. Not necessarily crunchy, but where it still has some bite to it.. Otherwise, it didn't really add a whole lot being there. The Katsu I feel like could have been better seasoned. I could taste the meat and the breading, but, that was kind of it. Overall it's not a bad place. I might come back for the Guava desserts.

Best loco moco I've had in L.A. the patty has flavor unlike some places that rely heavily on the gravy... and sometimes it's slightly charred which gives it a nice crisp. So good. The portions are shareable (big), the ladies are always on top of things getting business done, and they've always ran the place well. Ive been coming since they opened and never had a bad experience- once I forgot to check the bag and realized I was missing a box, but they compensated and gave me a free spam musubi. They are currently doing pick up, and they do wear masks.. for those concerned.

Ordered: avo poke & furikake chicken and furikake shrimp & kalua pork and Korean chicken & banana bread Taste: Ordered takeout since it's covid. everything tasted great. The furikake chicken was the best. They give you so much food. The entire box is packed with food that will feed you for 3 meals. Unfortunately, we came home and was missing the avo style poke in the bag. I think they forgot to give it to us. Overall, the food tasted great.

Food was good, but my shrimp came out so undercooked. The batter was still raw and it was not good. If I had to pick, the best dish was definitely the hamburger with mushroom and gravy. It was delish!

We drove up to Riverside to see family and decided to make a day out of it and stop by this place that the rest of our family raves about. I fly to Las Vegas just to get Hawaiian Food that comes close to back on the island, so I was glad to finally try out this place since it's closer to home. I got the Furikake Shrimp and the Furikake Chicken. I wasn't a huge fan on the shrimp but the chicken hit the spot! So flavorful and crunchy! I really look for the crunch even tho it's saucy and it was there! Can't wait to come back!

Since Covid hit, I've been doing all I can to support small business. That, and being able to hit all my bookmarks that I've always wanted to go. So every single Saturday, I've been hitting everyone of them. Why? Because some have already closed and you if you don't want regrets in life, you better do something about it. So i did and I'm glad I did. Came here past Saturday to this OG location. It is in a shared lot but lots of parking. The menu is typical Hawaiian fare and of they have Lau Laus on Fridays (Which of course I missed). But since this was Saturday and our first time, we got: Loco Moco 5/5- Terrific. One big hamburger patty, has a slight char. I can feel heart clogging from the tasty gravy. Only complaint is the egg was well done. Furikake Chicken-Crunchy chicken bits, ,ginormous portions. It's sauced up pretty well. 5/5 Chicken Katsu-Had to get something that was standard fare. Crispy, not too thin nor too thick. Above average for sure, but we've had better. Sauce is terrific. 4/5 Oh and their mac salad is delish! 5/5 Not heavy and not too much mayo. If you charge with your credit card, they do charge a...(1.25%?). So pay with cash if you can and tip when you can. Portions are HUGE and you probably will have it as a snack that same night like I did. I ordered while there, took about 20 minutes.
