Yesterday was my birthday and I went to benihana's I had a really good time chef Eric is amazing and another chef that I like is chef Earl this is the benihana's in Torrance there wasn't enough waitress so that was the down side of things. Still waiting on my birthday coupon haven't received it yet and my birthday was on the 23rd

Benihana's is a fun place for dinner and entertainment all in one setting. The food is tasty and the service is always good. My only disappointment was the birthday treat, a scoop of whip cream with a candle. I spent $140 dollars for my friend's birthday dinner without a coupon/voucher and Benihana couldn't serve a decent dessert was a put-off. It would have been better received had they just served the ice cream that came with the dinner with a candle or asked the birthday person what they wanted for dessert.

We must of had a pretty new chef. He didn't have the energy as other chefs. When he did speak, he was very soft spoken and could not hear him loudly or clearly. Food was VERY salty. My family had issues with finishing the food due to how salty it was. Too much soy sauce and added salt.

The waiter was awesome on top of everything 5 stars! The chef was ok he seem tired low energy hardly no show as we expected The food was tasteless no seasoning barely any food for the price we paid it was not worth Special because we were there to celebrate something special 👎🏽👎🏽

I was celebrating my birthday and the service was unusually below their standard. They were slow because the stove wasn't turned on ahead of time. The chef had a really poor attitude and appeared that he didn't want to be at work. However, our Server was very upbeat and tried to make up for it. My husband doesn't want to go back to that location in Torrance anymore. This was not our first time receiving substandard service.

We had 6pm dinner reservations. Once we checked in 15 min early they told us to ignore a text message we would get stating our table was ready. They said they were short handed and running 30min late. We wanted 45 min to be seated. We didn't get a server for another 30 min. It was extra smokey and loud what was a special family birthday became an unpleasant experience.

We received a text message that our table was ready and when we approached the hostess, she informed us that they will let us know when our table was actually ready. 30 minutes later we were called and seated at our table. Once seated, our order was taken and the chef did not come to our table till 830pm. What was supposed to be an enjoyable dinner out, turned into a painfully long waiting game. This was a very disappointing 4 hour dinner and we have no plans on ever going back to this location.

Our experience at Benihana Torrance was unfortunately far below expectations. We arrived for our party of 2 4:30pm reservation and were greeted by an unfriendly, visibly unhappy host. Despite having a reservation, it took more than 30 minutes to be seated, while several larger walk-in parties who arrived after us were seated first. Once we finally sat down, we waited an additional 50 minutes before the chef came to our table. In total, we spent over two hours there, most of it just waiting. Our drinks were never refilled during the meal, which only added to the frustration. The food itself was good, but the poor service overshadowed it. I would not recommend visiting on a weekend—if at all—based on this experience.

Their reservation system is atrocious. We had a 6:30 reservation and were not seated until 8. This was true of everyone in the restaurant. Everyone was angry and disappointed and hungry. Completely ruined the evening. We were told by the staff that Benihana corporate does not allow them to cap the number of reservations so they just take everyone. The reservation is worthless and then they lie to you and tell you 15 more minutes when there is no possible way. It's just cruel. Such bad service. Such a bad way to treat people. We will never go back.

This is by far the worse experience I have ever ever encountered . We did not get our cook till almost 2 hours into our reservations . Once the cook arrived, he rushed our food. The rice was so undercooked . The chicken was burnt and dry . He forgot to cook our mushrooms till the end of our serving when I had to remind him . He did not put on a show. Mind you it was a table with 3 adults and the remaining were kids 10years and younger . They did not sing happy birthday to the birthday boy . By far the worse experience.

The cook and his humor was great but the food was mediocre. You can get a great fried rice for less at a local Chinese food restaurant.
Will I go back? No. It's not worth the cost.

Had a 5:30 Reservation seated by 5:40,that was about the only thing that went right.We didn't see our server till 6:18 and he showed up wit a attitude,then he brought a 2 year old a glass cup for his lemonade,We finally get a chef who starts cooking the fried rice and vegetables, after that he starts the main food,we still had no soup no salad .or sauces for our meats and vegetables.Then they bring the soup and salad at the same time.Rigjt before he finishes the main course he gives us our sauces,after all that he cooks the Shrimp appetizer .Then he went to leave and 2 people at the table never got their white rice which they brought after we were finished .We wait for a check for about 20 min we try to stop our server and he just says he's busy,Again not till the Mgr came did they even offer ice cream and they also knew it was my wife's birthday, but no mention of it.Then to top it off your Mgr stood o er the table as we were paying bill and acted like the whole table was trying to get a free meal and wouldn't even acknowledge us .I let him know how how the whole table felt and he wouldn't even respond and tries to give me a free appetizer. 30 years of going there and I have never seen so much disrespect from any employee and management. This was 3 separate groups at the table and everyone left completely dissatisfied.
