We've stayed at Miyako Hybrid probably a dozen times over the years. This is a solid go-to for the area. The rooms are still clean and well cared for by housekeeping and the staff are courteous and helpful whenever needed. The Japanese soaking tub is a treat - It's just little things that are off from our first experiences, mostly restaurant access and offerings and some in-room amenities. Luckily there are great restaurant options surrounding and it's still our home base while visiting the area.

There's one woman at the cashier she's very rude and doesn't know how to treat the clients, she also like to steal money from the costumers she charges more than what it is and if you complain she tells you she doesn't know anything.

I really like this hotel. It’s clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is excellent. I especially loved the deep soaking tubs and Aveda bath products. There is a 24 hour self serve shop that had a good selection. Nice people and safe neighborhood. We will be back!

I was looking for a hotel reasonably close to LAX before returning home after a trip around California As this hotel had favourable reviews and ‘free’ parking, it seemed a good choice. I arrived early into a virtually empty car park, however, it seemed that they adhere to a strict 3pm check in and I had to dump my bags and find a way to kill time until I could check in. For me, the hotel lacked character and seemed sterile and corporate and the property is located in an industrial area with nothing of interest in the immediate vicinity. When I eventually got my room (executive king), it was spacious and the bathroom was large so there was no issues for me in that respect. The reason for my relatively low rating was due to my concerns with the standard of housekeeping. There seemed to be an obsession with COVID precautions when most of the world is moving on. Staff were masked up, sanitisers were everywhere and like most hotels, basic stuff had been removed from rooms as a ‘precaution’. So for a hotel that implements many hygiene requirements, I was shocked to discover the detritus down the back of a sofa in the room (see image). I dropped some coins on the cushion of the sofa and moved the cushion to retrieve some of them and I discovered an item of jewellery (which I handed in at check out) amongst all the bits of rubbish that had also dropped down between the cushion. It was apparent that nobody had cleaned that sofa for some time and this is a basic housekeeping failure. This hotel is not suitable for leisure travellers in my opinion and judging by the clientele, it seems they seem to cater more for corporate clients and Asian airline crews. The positive was that the room was quiet and I achieved a decent nights sleep, but I just didn’t feel I got value for money and I’ll give this hotel a miss in the future.

While I didn’t do the spa packages, there were a few options. There’s 1 restaurant-Japanese. A small food convenient store that is self-serve. The elevators require a keycard so non hotel guests can’t use the elevator which always makes me feel safer. There’s a Starbucks 2 blocks away. You definitely need a car to stay here. A nice bonus is that you don’t have to pay for parking. My keycard didn’t work for the elevator one day and when I told the front desk, they immediately fixed it and came with me to the elevator to ensure that it was working. The people working at the front desk aren’t teenagers and always greet you. Very professional. The parking lot had very nice plants and flowering trees so it smelled really nice.

Nice and clean business hotel in a walkable area. Room was large and comfortable with a shower, separate tub, and bidet toilet. Limited onsite amenities due to COVID. No airport shuttle was a disappointment. Very friendly staff and 24/7 mini convenience store. Many highly-rated Japanese stores and restaurants within walking / delivery distance. I would stay here again given the opportunity.

I am so impressed by this little gem of a Hotel. I usually stay at a boutique hotel in Redondo Harbor when I need some ME time but wanted to give Miyako Hybrid Hotel a try. This is simply the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Beautiful, spacious room. PRESTINE!!! Japanese spa like bathtub and shower combo. Small fridge, coffee, tea and great toiletries. No pool or hot tub on sight but you don't really need one if you enjoy taking bathes. Restaurant within the hotel is affordable and delicious! They serve local craft beer. I got the Miyako Burger. SO GOOD and our Pecan Cardimon cookies were heavenly. Yum! Cathryn at the front desk was sweet, efficient and accommodating. I can't wait to plan my next staycay here!!

This hotel has gone downhill over the last few years. I've stayed in a Motel 6 more comfortable than this. My wife and I have stayed here 3 times. We come here as a mini vacation even though we only live 20 minutes away. The first two times we stayed were great. The 3rd time was so horrible we will never return. First off when we walked in our room it was so hot we thought there must be a problem with the heater. It was over 90 degrees in there. Once we called the front desk and got the AC resolved we were able to look around the room. The carpet was shabby and need of replacement. There was a stain on the sofa. We really look forward to the soaking tub but found the faucet was broken. After some finagling I was able to fix it enough that it would work. Our room was directly above the hotel AC units which were so loud that we couldn't use the balcony or even have the door open. We ate at the restaurant downstairs. The food was excellent but the service was horrible. Back in our room the mattress was hard as a rock. And between the noise of the aforementioned outside AC units and the people in the next room slamming into walls and running their water all night we could not get a decent night's sleep. We got out of there at first light, went home and went to sleep in our own bed. All in all a huge disappointment.

We have spent no less than 30 nights at this hotel at different stays. It’s getting worse everytime. The front desk staff was not very corteous or friendly. During this stay we experienced a day where our room was not cleaned and other days were poorly cleaned. Not a single apology from the management. The manager made a huge securitty deposit charge to the wrong credit card despite my stay had already been paid for. On friday night there was a party at the ball room the music was so loud its could be heard all around the building, I called to complain they didn’t care. Far are the days of japanese style hospitality.

We visit this hotel an average of twice a year and stay an average of three nights. We have be visiting for about a decade and consider the hotel as a home away from home. The staff are very welcoming each visit. The service is excellent. Check in and out takes about a minute. The first time you check in, you may want to have a staff member give you an orientation if the room so that you can optimize your enjoyment of it. The rooms are always immaculately clean, with beautiful decor, comfortable bed, and an amazing bathroom. The bathroom has separate areas for the toilet, sink, and a bathtub with a shower outside of the tub! One person can take a bath while a second showers! We have never seen a bathroom so well appointed, yet practical. We even purchased a Japanese toilet for our home that is comparable to the appliance at the hotel. Security is great. No one can access a room on any floor without an activated card key. Then a card key is needed to enter the room. Each room has a free safe. The door lock is good quality, with an extra latch and metal stopper at eye level. The parking lot has plenty of free parking in front of the hotel or across the street. Best not to park under the trees on the west side due to bird droppings and sap during some times of the year. There is also special parking for disabled persons and another special area electric hybrid vehicles. The hotel is green, with heat and electricity generated by solar panels on the roof. Amazingly, the rooms always have plenty of electricity and hot water. A world class Japanese restaurant is on the premises. The breakfast buffet features traditional Japanese breakfast or American breakfast, with a very large selection. Lunch and dinner menus feature many classic Japanese dishes, with extraordinary sets of complete meals. A gift shop is open limited hours. Ask at the front desk. The shop sells wine, soft drinks, snacks and souvenirs. The location of the hotel is great for all attractions in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. We always bring our car and can travel anywhere south of the Santa Monica Mountains in under an hour. The hotel is less than 5 minutes from I-405 or the 110 Freeway. The hotel is next to Misuwa Market, which has a food court. Immediately south of Mitsuwa is a commercial center with about eight more restaurants. So, plenty of food is nearby! Downtown Torrance is a quarter mile to the west of the hotel for more restaurants and boutique stores. We find the hotel an ideal place to stay. May your experience be as satisfying as ours is every visit!
