Great private owned coffee shop...nice environment, easy parking and quality drinks and eats. Not a soulless corporate close but a real honest local business.

Horrible customer service, refused to give me a receipt after a refund. You are better off with a vending machine.

Ok, so you know how a lot of people have this negative view of community colleges? They say things like "That's not a real college," and ... well, I guess that's mostly what I hear people say. So, unless you're a bratty trust fund kid, you probably have to really consider the financial implications of deciding to go to college. Yes, it's an investment in your future. It can also saddle you with a crushing amount of debt. I've worked with people who will not be able to pay off their student loans until right before they retire. That's ridiculous! Anyway, in my mind, community colleges like El Camino ARE real colleges, and they give you REAL college credits and you can you can really learn something there, and at a fraction of the cost of most 4-year colleges. But this review isn't about El Camino College. This is about the Camino Cafe, their service, and one particular entree: The Cuban. First, I've noticed that most of the reviews for this spot were from 3 years ago, and several of them mentioned a certain manager there. Either she doesn't work there anymore, she wasn't working today, or she has improved, because I have no complaints about the service. All the folks behind the counter were friendly, fast and efficient. There was a pretty long line, but they were cranking through the lunch rush at a pretty good pace. This is a cafe, so the menu isn't particularly fancy, but they did have a section listed as Paninis, and one of the options was The Cuban ( not El Cubano ... hmm, what if everything on the menu was El Whatever? That would make sense at El Camino. But I digress ). My one issue with this sandwich: it was not a panini. It was a sandwich, the bread was very lightly grilled, but it was definitely not a real panini. But, beyond that, it was amazing! The bacon was grilled to perfection for me: cooked without being crispy. And there was ham; oh, was there ham! And I'm personally a huge fan of pickles, and these pickles did not disappoint. The sandwich was so packed with goodness that it was falling off the bread. And all for a reasonable price. So, yes, you might say it's not a real Cuban, or a real panini, but it will definitely satisfy you and fulfill all the requirements as a culinary delight. So if you're ever on the El Camino College, give the Camino Cafe a shot.

Too expensive for how mid the food and service is. Interesting how college students who already have to pay for classes and supplies have to pay so much for food that's literally reheated or frozen.

Its somewhere to get food quick while on campus- not much to complain about but nothing stands out here

Twice I went for a pizza and they were not having pizza at the time. The Basil Turkey sandwich was amazing. The prices are affordable compared to the portions

When you first walk in they have a ton of selection! I got the basic pesto turkey sandwich which was 6.19. Not bad for a sandwich. It was pretty good, but I would still prefer getting Subway. The bread was a little dry, and I don't know if you can ask for more bread options. But the sauce was pretty good and gave the sandwich good flavor. Just drink lots of water. Don't get any other sauces like mayo because the sandwich already has plenty. One of the workers served me my sandwich by calling my name out, but seemed to have an attitude. Maybe he was having a bad day. But other than that, there was a nice lady who explained what the popular dishes are. More popular dishes are the chicken tenders, burgers, and chicken wrap which I'm going to get next time! They also have a variety of snacks and beverages and have a whole case of Lenny and Larry's cookies!! Definitely check it out especially if you're a student!

This place has improved a lot! The cashier Chris is always happy and welcoming and the fact that he maintains that attitude during a rush hour, to me says a lot. Manager seems very rude to her employees. Besides that, food is great and speedy service. The chicken tenders are my fave!!

Prices could be cheaper but the food is amazing and the service is quick.

Extremely rude staff, especially the manager. They are never prepared for the lunch rush and don't even have the foresight to replenish snacks and drinks, or prepare coffee when it's running low. That takes either really bad managing, or extreme laziness. Rather than be apologetic about it, the manager gets an attitude and does not understand what "a show of good will" or "customer service" means. I understand that it's not a desirable job and must be difficult, but no one wants to work with or be served by someone like that. Check the other reviews to see how people hate the manager! Also, the food varies in quality and size, with the meat sometimes having a rubbery consistency. Not acceptable for the prices they charge.

Too expensive for food that can be made at home. But at least they have a cafe. The only one on campus besides food trucks.

Food is good but their condiments are the worst no name brand I've ever tasted In my entire life.
