This was the first time dinning in this restaurant. When we walked in, we saw a sign said ‘door closed’, we thought it was rung out of business. But we overheard they are just moving to other location. The food was amazing. We ordered a hot stone bibimbap and kimchi beef tofu soup with egg. They were delicious. The banchan was very good too. I’m glad that they are only moving to other location. I will definitely go back.

The tofu soups were wonderful and the service was great. The bulgogi (beef) tasted off though. It was really gamy and it personally ruined the dish. Normally gamy meat(beef) is close to spoiling, which I believe is a big red flag when in comes to food service.Everything else was nice. My friend said that the acorn noodles were a bit too vinegary for her liking (,but that mostly is just preference).

So freaking good! Been coming for years and it is still the best soondubu! (Though prices increased)I was introduced to Korean food more than a decade ago here. In my humble opinion, the tofu soup is hands down the best here. While the tofu soup is obviously a winner, the dolsot bibimbap and acorn noodles are also gems on this menu.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because I like the soon tofu and the side dishes and I've been a long time customer, otherwise I may give fewer stars, and the main reason is the constantly increasing prices on the food. Come on guys, the price of tofu has not gone up that much to justify these increases.More importantly, is their ridiculous $28 for bulgogi. I remember when it was probably half that price and I felt it was too expensive. Now it's at least double if not more than what this bulgogi is worth. You can eat AYCE korean bbq at Gen for less than the cost of this bulgogi, and they have tofu soup there as part of that deal. That's how over the top the price is. Or you can get yourself a steak at a nice steakhouse if you are really craving beef. To make matters worse, this bulgogi was old, dry and tasteless and was like it had been sitting in a container all week. Very disappointing and I felt totally ripped off by this. It pains me to have to write a review like this because I've enjoyed this place for probably over 2 decades. Sorry guys you need to adjust your prices back to reasonable amounts if you want to maintain a loyal customer base.

Best Korean tofu soup (soon du boo) place in Torrance. Better than bcd for sure. I'm a big banchan (side dishes) person and this place has all the banchan that I like. We come here once a week. In fact we might just go tonight
I personally like this place better than BCD. Good amount of tofu and great flavors. The mushroom soondooboo is my favorite. I just love the simplicity of the soup but with complex flavors. The spicy level is just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Their side dishes are really good too. I usually don't like cucumbers but their cucumber kimchi is so good. I usually take an order togo to enjoy a few more times. The service is always pretty good and staff is very nice. Clean interior and nice place to dine in. The parking lot is quite large so shouldn't be difficult to find a spot.

Believe it or or not, Cho Dang Tofu is at its heart Korean comfort food. For $20 you can get a big hot hearty bowl of favorful tofu (with choice of mushroom, beef, pork, or dumplings, etc.) soup with all the little bowls of Korean condiments (kimchi, cabbage, cucumber, seaweed, tofu, bean spouts, etc.). If there are several meat eaters in your party you might compliment your choices of soup with an order of sweet marinated slow cooked short ribs. Very yummy in your tummy! Get there about 5 pm. If you arrive at 6 pm, there is usually an orderly line waiting to get a table.Parking: Parking lot shared with bowling alley and neighboring shops.

I've been coming here since I was going to school in the area, and it was my mom's favorite place to eat at. Since then I've taken many friends, including travelers here, and this was their favorite place as well. You can't go wrong with their beef soon tofu (pictured), which comes with the appetizers. Meal delivery is pretty quick, and the staff are always very nice.
