They skimp out on chicken almost as bad as Chipotle. Purchased a Grande avocado bowl and it came with mostly rice and beans, they sprinkle a little chicken as seasoning and a single slice of avocado for $12. Might as well go to Chipotle.

Dont get me wrong the cooks there are good, food is good. What bothers me is lack of customer service. Like if they don't like doing there job, they never attend the elder when they need help using the self order, They seem lazy. girl/lady at the drive through always have an attitude and gets bothered doing her job which is customer service.... It's as easy as this, you don't like your job then why work there in the first place.

I placed an online order 40 minutes in advance, expecting a quick and smooth pickup experience. However, when I arrived at the store, none of the staff acknowledged me or offered any assistance. They were all busy doing their own tasks and completely ignored me. I ended up waiting 15 minutes just to pick up my food. Very disappointing and unprofessional service.
This was some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I will absolutely not be coming back to this location.

The food is great for a fast-food lunch place. Tastes great, cooked fresh, and healthier than most other fast options. Price is also decent for the amount and quality you get.

I really like this place. Compared to Taco Bell or McDonalds the food you get here is so much better and you get it for a lower price. If you want a fast lunch option you should try it.

I enjoy going to this El Pollo Loco at PCH and Mariposa because there are lots of tables to sit at both in doors and out.They play good music from the 1950s which I really like because it takes me back.I love their flavorful chicken and also their side dishes that compliment the meal.They are good too.Also their Horchata is one of my favorite drinks.

I see other bad reviews. I walked out without ordering as well today. Nothing has changed since another person apparently did the same about a month ago. Those ordering machines only gave the employees more reasons for bad service. After being ignored for about 5 minutes I asked one of them if I could talk to someone, as I wanted to substitute something in my order. I was ignored for another 5 minutes and left. People should not work in a restaurant if they are so resentful and annoyed with the customers. Never going back there even if I’m in the shopping area.

The customer service is very slow. And on top of being slow they still mess up my order almost every time. When I went in to get a remade order the manager was acting smart and nonchalant. It’s irritating having to be cordial with them seeing them provide that service

Ordered a Pollo Bowl with extra rice and less beans. -- Apparently they accidentally switched my order with someone else's, and the employee decided to just switch the content, lol {now the other patron has my special bowl}.
Anyway, I wasn't even mad or bothered {I do retail lol}. I asked the employee if he was sure if my bowl was the one with less rice and extra beans {because he switched the other content, lol}, so instead of listening, he was too busy being mad, scoffed and gave me the 2 sides. 😂🤣
So now I'm here with extra beans for no reason o.o lmfao. It was a comical situation honestly. Nothing against the location though, 5 stars.

[Quick edit: Uh, I'm at work now, and apparently 2 of my coworkers are upset cause same location messed up their orders. And one of them didn't even get a receipt. Yikes.]

The Real Motherhood

I have read the reviews from some of the Google reviewers.. and I can agree to some of the complaints. BUT! I can disagree with 2 complaints. Let's start with the customer service as some complained.. I did go one time & it wasn't the best experience, but hear me out! The place was understaffed & someone had called off.I was greeted by genie soft spoken nice young lady.I explained my issues about waiting & she quickly explained & I understood life happens.Genie gave me a little extra side for the inconvenience and I left.I came back to the same El Pollo Loco but a different day.I was greeted by a sweet lady named Carmen, the manager.I did see Genie who also remembered me as well.
I had a hard time at the machine & Carmen & Genie assisted me. I also did see complaints on the quality of the food,thus far, my food has been great.I will continually go, and if anything goes south,I will come back to let everyone know.
