The customer service is very slow. And on top of being slow they still mess up my order almost every time. When I went in to get a remade order the manager was acting smart and nonchalant. It’s irritating having to be cordial with them seeing them provide that service

Ordered a Pollo Bowl with extra rice and less beans. -- Apparently they accidentally switched my order with someone else's, and the employee decided to just switch the content, lol {now the other patron has my special bowl}. Anyway, I wasn't even mad or bothered {I do retail lol}. I asked the employee if he was sure if my bowl was the one with less rice and extra beans {because he switched the other content, lol}, so instead of listening, he was too busy being mad, scoffed and gave me the 2 sides. 😂🤣 So now I'm here with extra beans for no reason o.o lmfao. It was a comical situation honestly. Nothing against the location though, 5 stars.
[Quick edit: Uh, I'm at work now, and apparently 2 of my coworkers are upset cause same location messed up their orders. And one of them didn't even get a receipt. Yikes.]

I have read the reviews from some of the Google reviewers.. and I can agree to some of the complaints. BUT! I can disagree with 2 complaints. Let's start with the customer service as some complained.. I did go one time & it wasn't the best experience, but hear me out! The place was understaffed & someone had called off.I was greeted by genie soft spoken nice young lady.I explained my issues about waiting & she quickly explained & I understood life happens.Genie gave me a little extra side for the inconvenience and I left.I came back to the same El Pollo Loco but a different day.I was greeted by a sweet lady named Carmen, the manager.I did see Genie who also remembered me as well. I had a hard time at the machine & Carmen & Genie assisted me. I also did see complaints on the quality of the food,thus far, my food has been great.I will continually go, and if anything goes south,I will come back to let everyone know.

This pollo loco always takes FOREVER. The employees move so slow during rush hour it took my entire lunch just to receive my order. Even when it comes to getting a delivery through DoorDash they always mess up my orders.

Every time I go through the drive thru, I’m always disappointed. Service is slow, even when I’m the only car there. This time I’m leaving a one star rating (lower if I had a choice) because I’m fed up! The chicken legs were the size smaller than my palm - and I’m a small adult! Chicken was dry as well. I ordered for lunch around 11am, and seems like they gave me chicken from last night! Don’t go here or you’ll just waste your money. You’re better off getting fast food on the other side of this shopping mall - InNOut, Jersey Mikes, Jollibee, or Flame Broiler.
I never wrote a review a bout any restaurant no matter how bad the food was , I'm elpollo loco lover , but this day on Sunday 7/14/2024 @ 4:43 pm ticket # 228 , I was coming from LAX after I dropped my wife and 2kids , I was craving elpollo loco , and this is my chance , my wife doesn't like it , I ordered the 3 PC meal with coleslaw and side salad and Pico degayo side salsa , when I got home starving ofcourse. I opened the chicken container and I can tell from the skin it's iffing dry like rocks. If I hit someone with a piece I can make him blead , the Cole slaw color was way off and you can tell it's iffing older than my grandma , the salsa tastes like it was sitting in room temperature in hot July day , it tasted kind of sour yet iffing old , I called the store to speak to the manager but no one answered and you can't leave a message because it's full , I don't know about the avocado chicken boritto I gave to a homeless guy sitting in front elpollo loco , I hope he doesn't get food poisoning, so I drove to in n out and bought me an iffing double trouble wild animal style juicy cheesy burger , ate it and told my high cholesterol go F yourself

Needs to work on grilling the chicken. I come here order 8 piece chicken and dissapointed on the taste every Time. Chicken seems always burned and needs more seasoning. I only ate the thighs, and threw rest of the food away because I cant bare the taste of charcoal. There was one time chicken tasted right not sure if there was a different cooker, but compare this to another location chicken. It's more crispy and tender. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm only speaking on the chicken behalf not what's on other menu.

The workers here did an excellent job making my food and they were great. The one star is for the owner because I noticed that the poor workers are understaffed. They are trying to do their best with the team that they have. Greedy owner should be ashamed to have everyone stressed out working understaffed!!!
