I just finished a 12 hour shift and decided to sit outside on their patio to Waite for my ride next thing I know security approached me and asks me to leave! I went inside and asked hey do I need to buy something to sit here I’m waiting on my ride she said yes and that the owner was here it’s not her it’s the owner! I was so embarrassed if it was the owner why didn’t he just approach me himself instead of calling security I will never spend my money here the place was empty as well it’s not like I was taking up space!
Amazing! Got the Nasty Nash sandwich (Hankys Hot) with Mac and Cheese and coke. Kids got the chicken tenders. It's a cute place located kinda on the corner. Guy at the counter was helpful, place is clean with plenty of tables inside and out. Oh man, the sandwich is HUGE! Good luck eating it. Haha. 3 pieces of toast, juicy chicken with great favor & crunchy outside. If you eat really spicy food, get the Hankys hot, it's slightly spicy. Mac and Cheese was delicious, good flavor & cooked well. Kids loved the chicken tenders. Would go back but it's over an hour away from me.

I had the hottest chicken possible and it was pretty intense going down . I hope this place makes a cookie or brownie or Blondie available. We need a sweet thing to eat and only milk shakes are available. If your lactose intolerant you might have to drink that shake to cool your mouth off and then it's 2 days of Doom and agony and despair.
If you cant take the heat start low and then next trip back go up. Dont start at hot because i could not feel my lips. LOL I recomend the Nasty Nash.

Hanky’s Hot Chicken was very good. There is plenty of parking there. I tried the mild original sandwich and I liked it very much. Next time I would bump up the spice. It wasn’t very hot. We also tried a chicken burrito, which wasn’t as good as the sandwich. There was plenty of outside dining next to the fountain. It was very relaxing to sit outside and eat. There is also seating inside the restaurant.
Came here after seeing all the good reviews and was thoroughly disappointed. Service was extremely slow even for a slow weekday lunch (took almost 20 minutes to get my order and people who ordered after me were getting their order and I didn’t order that much). Food is not just spicy (I can handle some spicy) but way too overpowering. I have had better chicken at other nearby places. Fries were extremely soggy and tasted like 3 day old fries. I came here to try it since I had a Groupon but wouldn’t come back again. Only good things were the signature sauce and the place was very clean and neat.
We've been to this restaurant once before (shortly after thr grand opening) and everything was really good. The owner was walking around talking to customers and the staff were all friendly and the outdoor tables and area were very cleanToday (8/4/2022)....not quite as good. Staff were still friendly and helpful, but the food was not as good (waffles were not super fresh) and the outdoor area wasn't super clean. The chicken was still really good, so hoping it was just an off day.
Parking: Plenty of free parking nearby.
We were excited to try Hanky's. Super easy to order right on the website, ready right on time, the restaurant looks really nice and clean, super polite and friendly staff. BUT the food...ugh so bummed! We got the Loaded Fries and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Yes, they were spicy and we love spicy food, but there was no other taste. So tasteless spicy, I guess. The loaded fries were ok, nothing special. The Cole slaw was the best thing in there. I really wanted this to be our go-to for a spicy chicken sandwich.
Tonight, I ordered my usual 3 piece Tenders with Toast and pickles. The heat level was Hot and my taste buds loved every bit of it. Good quality chicken!
This place was delicious- great coleslaw, tater tots, service, and chicken. BUT PLEASE do not underestimate the spice levels. I ate half of a chicken sandwich at the "hot" level (2nd hottest) and I've been taking the spiciest dumps... its only 1009 in the morning and these are the hottest temperatures that my bottom has reached in a very long time. There is a huge jump from "medium" to "hot" and "medium" was just right for me. RESPECT THE SPICE.

This photo says all I need to say, they make everything with love here. Great chicken place, the levels of heat are perfect. You don't feel like you're jumping to crazy extremes between their original and hot levels, you can find the perfect heat for you. But if you really want a kick out of the hankey's hot is where it's at. Great flavor great spice. Love this place
In the Southbay hankys hot chicken might be in your top three list of places that you may call your go to spot when you need some fried chicken. My life‘s a big fried chicken lover and when she was pregnant with our son it was fried chicken every day and in the Southbay we nearly tried every single fried chicken spot. Now hankys pops up and she’s like no let’s try so I took the kids there today and I must say they’re soft serve milkshakes are on point, fired chicken or the chicken nuggets, on point. Their service is very family friendly and there is eating inside and outside so you don’t have to worry about any Covid issues and the prices extremely affordable go grab a bite.
This style of hot chicken is my favorite! Whenever I travel I try to find some Nashville hot chicken as soon as I land. Having been to many places in the LA area this one is the best!
I’ve tried a bunch of hot chicken places in the area, but hanky’s is the best hot chicken sandwich so far. I always order the hottest each place has to offer, just to test myself. Hanky’s hot hot is the top one here, it does have kick but won’t leave you sweating or dying and what comes after that. I appreciated having the spice and also being able to enjoy the flavors, not just straight, burning heat that makes you see stars and your ears plug up. Here are the other things I tried…Loaded tots, really good. Lots of stuff in there. Portion is big, enough for two. I was able to use for two meals. Chicken tastes spicier here than in the sandwich. Maybe the bread helps keep down the spice. Tots nice and crispyChicken breakfast burrito, was excited to try this one, but ended up not being my thing. Others may enjoy thoughMy wife doesn’t really like spicy so she ordered mild tenders which she claimed was very spicy. I tried them and admit it was more spicy than traditional mild. So now she gets original, which is below mild.Kids got grilled cheese, which they liked and actually ate, that’s a win.
The chicken is really fresh and tasty. l love their Texas toast. I had the 3 (Medium heat level) Tenders Meal with a side of Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese fell short yesterday. Its usually really good but it lacked salt.
