Always delicious with the highest quality ingredients. Get the chicken meatballs which are the most tender I've ever had.
First time guest at hasu. Full sampling of menu. Great experience and wonderful new tastes. Memorable night. Quail eggs were a treat.
Love everything here. Always great service and food. My go to place for izakaya. Good variety of food. The chicken noodle is always good to end the meal
Not bad but expensive
overall first visit - dining area and service was good / yakitori one of the chicken type was salty, assorted pickles was good and plates nicely - yaki onigiri was nothing fancy i could do better at home and large size - good experience maybe u will like - enough for me
Excellent Japanese Food. Mixed food with Sake and you're set for a good time.
All I can say is this local grilled yardbird joint is the absolute best I've experienced and that includes my hanging out in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka plus Honolulu since childbirth!! All the skewers are professionally and expertly prepped and presented. Side and rice dishes are deliciously authentic and truly complement all the hard work and time put in by the back of the house. And service is always very Japanese!!

Racist establishment! If you're not Japanese don't go! Slow night at the restaurant, so decent service was expected. Ordered about 100.00 worth of items, including a pitcher of beer for two. Beer came out followed by the appetizer and then nothing. Sat for 30 minutes and not one item ordered was presented to use while other patrons of Asian decent were promptly given their food. A white couple that entered the establishment 20 minutes after we ordered our food was served before us. Not being white or Asian drops you to a lower level on the hierarchy of service. I never felt so disrespected at a restaurant and I will never return for their overpriced food and cheap decor. At all costs avoid this place!
This place is amazing! I bring my friends, family and clients here to indulge in some good food. Staff are super friendly and they even remember who you are, (well, probably recognize your face if you frequent the place). The atmophere is modern, clean and it has class. Great place to get yakitori, drinks, and have a great time with people! Definitely a gem in Torrance!
Parking: There are a lot of parking but it is a busy plaza. But it's not TOO hard to find parking.
Kid-friendliness: Space is a bit tight but I saw plenty of kids eat with their families.

Restaurantji Recommends
Average food for top dollar ,ridiculously small portions you'll leave the restaurant hungry
The food was excellent. Presentation was beautiful. The staff was very attentive without being pesky. The flow of serving the food was very good. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion. I would recommend the specials of the day. The crembrulee sweet potato was SOOO delicious, you must try it! It is on the pricey side.
Great vibe, really nice staff, and the food tastes excellent!

Can't say enough about Hasu!! Really the finest yakitori and small plates period. Even better than Japan from my experience of 66 years, born and raised in Yokohama........spent lots of Yen post pandemic in the all kinds of raunchy, smoky yardbird hole in the walls across Tokyo but for some reason when it comes to chicken on a stick.........I come back here!! It ain't cheap but quality and skill of the master dude in the back of the house is worth the trip to Torrance!!
Great Food, Great Service. But Pricey! Around $50 per person, and you don't get full, and that's not including drinks.
