Cakes were tasty, but I couldn't tell which had what filling until I bit into them. Mont blanc cheesecake was very decadent and a little too sweet to eat more than a bite or two at a time. Packaging is so thoughtful and neat.

Craving roasted chestnuts with out the hassle of roasting them yourself! This is the place to go! There's two options of chestnuts Kyoto and Tainjin both great but I prefer the Kyoto! The Snow is also delicious with chunks of chestnuts in it! All things chestnut here, donuts, cookies, coffee, teas, ice cream!

This is always a nice, cozy shop with delicious treats to visit!Their chestnuts are always roasted perfectly and their desserts have just the right amount of sweetness. My favorite is the red velvet chestnut donut. It goes amazing with some black coffee!

Wow. Mouthgasm. Run don't walk. I wish I lived closer to get this all the time. But I guess that's good for my wallet.I love the chestnuts. Sweet and creamy yet not too sweet. It is SO GOOD.

Small shop that serves delicious chestnuts and chestnut desserts that does not dissapoint. I had the chestnut tiramisu and a bag of kyoto chestnuts and I would order the same thing when i'm in the area.

Wow. One chestnut ? one dollar. I came from far so I ended up buying them. I basically donated 6 dollars to this place. Their chestnut milk tea doesn’t taste anything like chest nuts.

Chestnuts. My favorite! So, had to try this place, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a small business. No indoor seating, only two small tables for two, outdoors. I like the wall of post-its customers stick on the wall. Service was fairly quick and personalized. Since it was my first time visiting, had to try a little bit of everything. All of which tasted good, as expected: iced matcha; roasted chestnut soft serve ice cream; and a small bag of small roasted chestnuts. Ah, reminiscent of Japan.

Hisaya Kyoto Roasted Chestnuts looked like an interesting concept! I love chestnuts, they were the type of snacks that my parents would get after we went shopping in a grocery store. ITEMS WE TRIED:- Chestnut Parfait: dece. I was reading a review that said it tasted like McDonald's soft serve which I thought was a slam-dunk description. The chestnut pairing was pretty unique and good but nothing stood out as too amazing.SERVICE: quite a few people so it took a little bit of time, but reasonable. PARKING: it's in a plaza so there is plenty of parking!PRICE: it was about $5-6 for a parfait. Overall, this was an interesting concept but I don't see this as a place that I'd keep coming back for.

Super unique chestnut-themed deserts and snacks, charming shop, and definitely worth a try. Service was excellent. The caveat is that chestnuts may just not be my thing, and we only tried certain items; will stop by again and update the review. The whole kyoto (larger) chestnuts were flavorful but did not seem that fresh, though the recommendation was to heat them at home for the best flavor and experience -- and we just had them right outside. Would be nice if they could heat them in site, but would recommend bringing them home to try them as they are intended. The other deserts were tasty but nothing particularly noteworthy.

If you want chestnuts, chestnut anything, this is your place to go.This is a really unique business is that they focus all of their everything around chestnuts. Yes, you can just buy some roasted chestnuts, and, as expected, they're very good. But, if you want chestnut flavored anything else, this is where this business is really surprising. Do you want a chestnut flavored matcha latte, this is your place to go. Do you want chestnut ice cream, they have it. Overall, the food and the drinks here are very good. They're very good, as long as you like chestnuts. :-)This is a relatively small business. I know it's been around forever, but I never really went here until after the pandemic. They do have some indoor seating, but whenever I show up here that section is closed off. Maybe that will change in the future? They do have a couple of outdoor tables if you want to sit and enjoy your chestnut, whatever, but it seems this is basically set up as it to-go business.Overall, this is a really unique place for anything and everything chestnut. If you want something, chestnuts orientated, this is your place to go.

We had dinner around the corner and were looking for dessert but a lot of places had already closed. We found this spot on Google. Some of us were hesitant about chestnut flavored stuff but I was interested to see what they had.The parking lot shares with 85 C and other businesses but we found parking easily. It was past 7pm on a Wednesday. When we walked in, there were 3 folks sitting outside and 2 people ahead of us. It began to get crowded and got pretty busy! It's not a big place at all. Only an ordering counter and a tatami that was there for viewing.I got the vanilla and chestnut ice cream in a cone, as did one of my friends. The rest of my group tried the baked donuts (yuzu, black sesame, and chestnut), cookies and a small cake thing. Delicious! And not overly sweet at all. Prices were cheap! I would definitely come back. They have chestnut lattes and other items to try. Even roasted chestnuts. They do take credit card and Apple Pay!

Never met a chestnut I didn't like, and the ones at Hisaya are among the best. They're not cheap, but all the desserts are delicious. Regular roasted chestnuts are amazing, and the chestnut flour donuts are fun. Black sesame and yuzu were my favorites, but be prepared - they're dense and they resemble donuts only in shape. I preferred their Mont Blanc, a creamy chestnut spaghetti topping a cheesecake base.Love this little shop, as much as every other place in this plaza. A great little spot to swing by for a not-too-sweet treat, especially after an epic meal.

I'm so glad that I found this gem through a Yelp search. The chestnut donut was divine and the chestnut cake (I'm not sure the official name) had a unique texture that was extremely satisfying. All of our drink orders were great - chestnut latte and green tea/honey boba tea. I would absolutely go back if I'm ever in the area.
