It feels like it’s gotten more expensive over time, but I’ve been coming here for 20 years. It’s one of my all-time favorite restaurants, and I’d be genuinely sad if it ever closed. The staff are always very friendly. While it may not feel particularly modern or spotless, it offers a comforting, homey atmosphere. The food is also consistently delicious.

This Japanese restaurant is very popular in Torrance. When we visited in the evening, there were always many customers waiting outside to be seated. A variety of Japanese foods such as udon noodle, sushi, tempura, and skewers are served here, as well as alcohol. It should be considered a Japanese izakaya! There are many combinations on the menu. We ordered the pork cutlet and sashimi and beef teriyaki and sashimi dinner, which already included white rice and miso soup. We also ordered some Japanese skewers. The dinner portions were definitely generous. The taste was decent (but not top-notch), and it was basically worth the price! The environment of the restaurant is nice. Although there are many people, the seats are still comfortable, and the waiters' service is efficient. I saw that many customers were parents with their children. It should be because this place is suitable for family gatherings!
A bit disappointing today, grandma wanted sushi and unfortunately we discovered they do not serve sushi at 3pm on Saturdays. I ordered oyako donburi but I swear there was no egg in the bowl. Seemed they forgot about us and had to ask for a check. Had remembered better experiences in the past.
Sometimes I just come here for a nice bowl of hot zenzai. It warms my soul.
The food and service were really wonderful. They have amazing options and everything was really good. The food was beyond our expectations. I like the Pork cutlet Curry which has nice flavor and nicely seasoned.
The best sushi in Torrance!
Old-school japanese hole in the wall interior, very simple and straight forward. Servers are nice and let you take your time. Might need a little effort to get their attention sometimes but it's a small inconvenience for the quality of food.

My husband and I really enjoyed lunch here! Great service and food! Portions were larger than we expected, and everything was delicious. It reminded us of izakayas we used to eat at in Japan!

Used to be a great place to eat. Large quality to accompany the large prices.(combos)
But the quality was very "POOR"! What happened? Worst fish ever had. Oily and not fresh tasting. This is not good Japanese food.

This is a family style Japanese restaurant. Food and service is absolutely delightful. Everything from soup to sushi. Lots of choices and combinations. The waitresses there are so efficient and friendly. Expect to wait a little, but it is worth it.

Came for a quick meal before a movie. Very cozy and the service is nice but wasn’t particularly impressed by the food, especially given how many great Japanese options there are in the area.Calpico Beer - was great and my SO ordered a secondTakowasa - disappointing unfortunately, the octopus wasn’t the freshest.Skewer plate - was just ok, some of the skewers were overcooked and most didn’t have enough seasoningSoft shell crab in chili sauce - pretty good! Not spicy and actually more sweetNatto and sashimi - natto is not for everyone but I like it, and this is a pretty good dish

We had ramen there multiple times. Soup was tasty and extremely hot which is satisfying. My husband had the dinner specials with rolls. Overall, food quality is good. It is not too pricely either. We really enjoyed the service there.
