Despite serving authentic Japanese cuisine, the prices are very reasonable. The fish is especially fresh and flavorful, so I highly recommend the sashimi and nigiri sushi. Their house specialty soup called “San-chan” has a rich mushroom aroma and is the perfect way to finish the meal.
The restaurant is located in the former Kantaro space, but the management is completely new. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and overall it’s a place I would definitely recommend.

This place is very hard to find organically. It's im the corner of a small plaza. The place had 12 reviews with 5 stars at the time of writing, so I was suspicious, but this place is legit.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The price for portion was fair, and the food was good. I liked that their crab rolls had lots of crab, and they were reasonably priced ($10 for 8 small pieces). The soft shell crab was interesting for taste and texture. The yellowtail collar was not bad. I liked the mixed tempura, though the shrimp were a little on the smaller side. The spicy albacore and shrimp tempura roll was fantastic, and their spicy yellowtail with scallion roll was pretty good. It had a lot of people despite being hard to find, so be sure to make reservations.
I would definitely come back to try more stuff!

Amazing new sushi spot in Torrance. Almost hidden in the corner, so I could see how it could be easy to miss. Food was amazing! Loved the uni rolls, carpaccio and soft shell crab. Quality was amazing. My husband and I thought prices were pretty reasonable as well. Friendly and exceptional customer service from the staff. Cannot wait to return and try out the rest of their menu!

Great sushi, perfectly crispy tempura, lots of choices, and generally wonderful food. They also have a nice sake selection. Staff are friendly and it seems all are bilingual (Japanese and English). Since they only opened recently, they aren't very busy.

A great new sushi izakaya in Torrance! You can tell the chef is truly authentic just by tasting the food. Even if you can't eat raw fish, there are plenty of appetizers and rolls to enjoy—and everything we tried was delicious. My favorites were the Agedashi Tofu and Popcorn Shrimp. The prices are very reasonable, which makes it easy to order a variety of dishes. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
