If you haven't been here you areissong out. I consider this place to be a local gem. Get there right at 5 if you don't have a reservation. This yakitori is fantastic. It is cooked perfectly every time. There are lots of options for both those who are adventurous and those who like to stay a little closer to home. This place will not disappoint.

Nice restaurant. Happilybsurprised it wasn't busy at 8 PM. You can smell the skewers grilling if you are by the bar. Didn't have an alcoholic drink, but there was a pretty sizeable list available on the menu. Staff was welcoming and quick to take orders and refill requests.

We had such a great experience at Koshiji in Torrance. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. The food? Outstanding. The grilled corn — forget about it, absolutely delicious. We tried the tandoori and duck skewers, and both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
One tip: the rice takes a little longer to prepare, so if you like eating it with your meat dishes, order it early or ask them to bring it out together. I also had the lychee hi shochu cocktail — a little heavy on the ice, but still refreshing and tasty.
We’ll definitely be back!

FIVE STAAAAARS!!
One of the best grilled chicken in Torrance! The atmosphere inside is like a Japanese tavern and they have a large selection of items, other than yakitori, they also have soboro rice bowls, and many mooore!!!
A MUST VISIT!!!
Incredibly authentic yakitori, and extremely reasonable prices. Instant classic from 2001 onwards.

Wow. Super shitty business practice here. They’ll happily try to get you to double tip…on a party of 2. Returned home and called back regarding the clear tactic. Ordered 12 skewers at $39.45, one app at $7, and one plum wine at $4.95. Comes to $51.40 before tax. HOW DID WE GET TO $80.70 and I didn’t leave a tip. You are a bunch of liars
This place is so good!

We were overcharged on items we did not receive. It was clear we counted each single item to the waitress. No acknowledgement or apologies.

Restaurantji Recommends
Yakitori in LA.
It was delicious.
The food sucks and especially they gave a spot to someone when we made a reservation earlier than them. Not being a Karen but they literally took too far when we came earlier and wait for one hour for a spot! I don’t like the food that is smoky and burnt! Never go to this restaurant!

Last minute dinner decision for a Saturday night
Went around 630ish it was packed but we didn’t wait very long
However one of the waitress asked if we made a reservation we did not she did first come off rude but later service was very nice
The two gentleman by the bar greeted upon entering
Food was very tasty but they forgot the starter soup and rice for the course meal
It was plenty as we order each course meal Chicken and the Beef
We also got a pitcher of their draft Ahsai
Overall experience was great we would definitely come back
