They used to serve the best bahn mi sandwich in Torrance, but I believe they stopped serving those sandwiches a few months ago and switched to ice cream. I loved the cold cut bahn mi and the roast pork bahn mi. The pickled veggies within the sandwich were really good. The last time I was at Little Shop of Mary was around September. It was a little challenging, considering the hours aren't clearly posted, and that they were only open on Thursdays and Fridays. I tried paying with the card, but their computer was down. They wanted exact change, so I had to break my $20 by walking down the street to the liquor store and buying coconut water to get the $16.50 that they were looking for. I really enjoyed my roast pork sandwich with pickles and a side of ice cream, but it was a bit of a hassle to get. I'm sure the ice cream they serve is really good, but I haven't been there since the switch. I miss their sandwiches.

Tried and tired creamerys had better watch out; This hole-in-the-wall gem is about to give them a run for our money. Located off a busy main street, this unassuming establishment had gone missed by even this local until fate had me in need of the laundromat next door. As I browsed their, rather eclectic, menu I was hit with a " Would you like to try all of our flavors?" That's right. All of them. From ube brownie to matcha oreo - the clerk emerges from the back with a tray featuring samples of at ~6 novel flavors... and one classic good: chocolate. Top recommendations: Jasmine tea and taro blueberry Other standouts: The lactaid tablets at the counter. This business is gut-flora-inclusive - and we love that. P.S. To the establishment: The durian ice cream you are working on? Menu that ASAP. Its flavor will be beloved by durian fans - yet kindly lacks the odor for the durian curious.

Great bahn mi sandwiches! Sad to see them go, but I tried the taro blueberry crumble ice cream and LOVED it!! It was a good combination of flavors. I also have the pork bahn mi which is always a favorite of mine.

What a ridiculous way to have a restaurant operation and only being open 2 days a week and insulting on top of that they want you to order your sandwich 2 days in advance. No thank you- there are way to many excellent Bánh Mi / Vietnamese Restaurants in Redondo Bch & Torrance and you don't have to play these games like Little Shop of Mary deciding if they actually want to even be in business.

Open Thursday and Friday 11-2 only. You need to pre-order. Go to website.

I have tried to go twice in the past month for lunch around noon on days that they say they are open and both times they were closed. I think this place may have closed down.

DELICIOUS! And a little different take on a bahn-mi! The sandwiches are big and so so yummy and what's even better is that it's down the street from my house! LOVE this spot!

Food (Banh Mi) was "so and so" but not bad. You have to order your food in advance which is really inconvenient when your just spontaneously going there during your lunch hour.

Great tasting, and great quality authentic goodness. I cant wait til they open back up full-time so i can pop in anytime, since i don’t live in the area anymore. It’s a complete meal, main appetizer and dessert! And I love little businesses, especially women, and minority owned. I will back every time I’m in town for a Thursday or Friday for pickup.

Outstanding! I had the lemongrass chicken banh mi today for lunch. The chicken was moist and super flavorful. The daikon accent was refreshing and fragrant. For dessert, I had the Ceylon black tea ice cream. Solid tea flavor, creamy, and not overly sweet. Perfect lunch.

They open 2 days of the week and take pre order only on Monday then you come back during the week to pick up. It's not really a restaurant where you can just walk in and order. It's very inconvenient unless you are ordering for a party or something. I think the pick up is very specific as well. So I guess they are only a catering business. I ended up going to Saigon eatery, got 4 sandwiches in 15 minutes. Cheers. I wish them good luck.

Order the preorder meal today. Vietnamese beef stew with baguette, 2 pork egg rolls and a green tea ice cream. Very flavorful and beef was tender. Wish they could get their menu back with the bahn mi sandwiches!

OMG I was in the area and craving a banh mi.. to my luck I found this place and my taste buds were blown away. I heard that they were closing the shop to open an ice cream place? Thank goodness I grabbed a sandwich before they shut it down. They gave me a free thai tea ice cream sampler and to be honest, I probably won't go back to get the ice cream - it was a little too strong. If they continued to sell their sandwiches, that's a different story.

Sadly it's been announced that LSoMBM (Little Shop of Mary Banh Mi) will close and transition to something new. I picked up my two usual sandwiches (roasted pork is my ultimate fav) and only ate half of each....why? I want to savor it and enjoy the rest for dinner. Banh Mi is a very simple sandwich but Mama Tien added love to every sandwich, it always felt like eating at home. Going to miss this place, should have visited it more often. Definition of a 'mom & pop' place....Little Shop of Mary you will be missed.

This awesome banh mi sandwich shop is closing in one week ... due to retirement. Such a great little small business, too! Very sad.
