A hidden gem.
Ordered the California Burger. The staff were truly kind and brought extra sauces, checked up on us, and ensured we were enjoying our food.
The burger itself was outstanding. I couldn’t put it down and all the flavors complimented each other especially the honey mustard with the smokey patty. A copious amount of fries were presented alongside the burger. Reasonable prices with the quality of food.
Location is quaint and tucked away. It’s hard to hear the traffic even when close to the road.
Business has operated for 24 years. Family owned.

My sisters and I have been fans of Misto Caffe for years and years, and we had an excellent brunch this last Sunday, over Labor Day weekend. We had actually left another very crowded, noisy place to arrive there, and we were delighted beyond measure with the calm, serene, welcoming essence that has always been Misto's signature. Miguel was our angelic server, he treated us like long-lost family, we loved being taken care of so wonderfully. Our meals were delicious, their coffee is excellent, and we are very partial to the little bakery basket of warm treats that they have offered since forever ago. We will be returning very soon!

It was our first time to try this restaurant. Too bad it's hidden in the back side and can't be noticed unless you know the place. We went for dinner, it was a casual pre-celebration dinner for my sister's birthday. It's cozy, the staff was nice, we shared steak and MISTO trio plate. Steak was good although it was different from what I was expecting from so-called steak. A little disappointed that our server didn't mention anything about her birthday although I specified “birthday celebration” when I made a reservation by OpenTable.
Waiters all Worked together to get our orders right and correct. Food was fast and delicious!!! Recommend for others to try out!
Nice, quiet patio but needs a bit of a facelift- it can be even better if there were more plants or greenery and a bit cleaner. The area looked dusty. So much potential. Food was good. We made some substitutions and the staff was great about it. Very friendly and helpful. Best part of the place is the staff. Decent price range for location. Will be back again!
The food was good as usual. Misto is always a fun place to go for lunch. The food never disappoints.
Misto is a hidden gem! Delicious food and lots of menu options. It is quiet, peaceful dining, unlike many restaurants these days where conversing is difficult. Excellent service too!
Haven't visited this restaurant for a couple of years due to being away and returned recently. Everything was as good as I remembered. This is a neighborhood gem that seems to be a local favorite but quite below the radar for those not within the Palos Verdes/South Torrance vicinity. It's tucked within a quiet medium sized, well appointed center with a small cluster of professional buildings and boutique shops. The ambiance is pleasant and the noise level is typically not high so nobody needs to raise the speaking volume to be heard. Seating can be both indoor and outdoor with equal charm. Strategically placed plants offer privacy and noise reduction from surrounding shops/offices and walkway. The service is impeccable. Attentive and friendly without the hovering effect yet the staff does not miss a beat. The food is freshly made and the menu rotated frequently enough to maintain the local favorites while providing new items at intervals. The small wine list pairs well with the menu items. Have been here over the years with different friends who are all world travellers plus foodies, as well as some locals who dine here almost weekly. There has not been a single reported disappointment from this quite discerning group. Highly recommend. Will be back repeatedly.
Tasty food with good size portions for the prize. Bread basket had yummy treats. Friendly service. We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

This place has been around for a long time. It looks like they are trying to make it better after a long time of declining customers. The food was good and plenty. The service is very good. They need to make the place brighter, it is too old and dark. We will go there more often.
Misto Caffe has a varied menu so everyone can find something to eat. I had the fish & chips. The fish was light and the crust on the fish was crispy. My friend had the Greek calamari salad and she said it was delicious .
The waiter was fantastic! Very accommodating and helpful, and the food was very good. However, I ordered a salad with dressing on the side, and it came dressed. No offer was made to fix it. Since I only ate a small amount I wanted to take the rest home. I said to the waiter that it would have been much better to take home an undressed salad that wouldn't so qui wilt. Again, no response. Also, the dressing didn't taste like I remembered, missing just a touch of spice, for a southwest salad.
The service was amazing, and the food is out of this world! The owner is a nice, warm, and kind person. I recommend the place 100%.

Been dining at Mistos many years. Just tried their Almond Crusted Sea Bass with Marsala. Amazing! The portion was more than enough. Started today's dining with my fav, the Ahi Tuna Tartare :)
