So many years we've been coming here and the service and food is always good. The Greek calamari salad is great as is the tomato bisque soup! We get take out from here when we need a quick dinner. The weekend brunch is good as it has special entrees although I wish they were open earlier. Free parking and generally not super crowded.

Been dining at Mistos many years. Just tried their Almond Crusted Sea Bass with Marsala. Amazing! The portion was more than enough. Started today's dining with my fav, the Ahi Tuna Tartare :)

Still a quaint, little hidden gem in the Hillside Village on Hawthorne Boulevard right before you head up the hill. A nice place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I always recommend the tomato bisque. During lunch, you can get a soup and salad combo. the service is quick and professional. I had the tomato bisque and a calamari salad. Both were very good.

Mistos has always been my favorite last minute go to restaurant. They are rarely crowded, the noise level is low so we can hear each other talk, the head waiter always remembers us. Service is excellent and food is delicious!!

Food is very good. Portions are big and prices are good. Service is perfectly attentive and personable and they're very nice. Don't want everyone to know about this hidden neighborhood gem but they deserve to get a great following! We had the shrimp and avocado quesadilla and breakfast burrito. Both are so tasty But my fave is the bread basket they bring to the table. If I could I'd order another one and pay for it!

The place was closed. Received a CONFIRMED reservation, made plans, all for naught. It's understandable that they would not be open Christmas Eve. However, someone dropped the ball on this one.

Their bread is tasty, it comes with a few types. The brown bread had sunflower seeds. The dipping sauce for the bread was great and nicely garlic-forward. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was good. It was very light, I didn't eat the wonton. There were little bits of sweet pickled peppers in the tartare, which was more ceviche style. The Baja Salad was so good. The dressing was nice and smokey, not your average restaurant chipotle. I added some ground pepper for taste.Misto's Mix Grill had unseasoned mashed potatoes. It was necessary to do something to the potatoes to make them edible. Choices were salt, pepper, and the garlic oil for the bread. They do offer sauces when serving entrees. We did not ask for any.

Service was spot on. Thank you Mateo. The bread served with the olive oil never disappoints. Ahi tuna with mango served on wontons was very fresh. The “world famous” fusilli bucatti pasta with chicken, bacon and sun dried tomatoes in a cream sauce is over the top delicious.

The split pea soup was flavorful but very thin. It was disappointing because I expected a traditional hearty, thick pea soup. I ordered it as my lunch, but it really wasn't enough.

This time, I had spinach salad with chicken and goat cheese. Kenneth had the chicken ravioli. Both were very filling. I recommend them.

My friend and I enjoyed our time at Misto. Miguel was our waiter and he provided the right amount of conversation when he visited our table. The food was delicious, as always. Thank you.

This is a nice local spot....kind of under the radar unless you happen to live in the area.Tucked away in the back of the plaza just off Hawthorne Blvd., is a quaint little spot where you can get really good baked goods or a tasty meal. There's covered outdoor dining as well as indoor seating options.Food was good and so was the service. Really good portion sizes for the cost.Like many local food spots....I think they're still recovering from the COVID era and they could use a little updating and some repairs to the outdoor space. But that only comes as folks continue to get back out and supporting their local establishments.Definitely worth a try!
